Sometimes, it takes a loss of a near one for us to realise how much we miss them, and what all we want to talk to them about. Have you ever felt this way after a loss?

Did you ever wish for one chance, a single chance, to speak to him/her and tell them all that you wanted to tell them? To tell them how much you miss them, how much you love them, how much they mean to you, but were never able to tell them, or even, rant and rage over something that they did to you?

Only serious answers please...

Yeah I wish a lot of times that I could talk to my Dad just to tell him I still miss him so much! It's been 4 yrs since he passed away and I've gotten over it but sometimes I just miss him like crazy!

I'm very sorry for your loss. But perhaps you are a cautionary tale for the rest of us. We never know when the chance to communicate will disappear forever, so we should say what's in our hearts now. I feared my dad, and hated him, and finally loved him, and in the process got over needing to tell him what was on my mind. Don't think he'd have understood, anyway. Telling him certainly wouldn't change him, but it would have every chance of making him feel really bad, and he doesn't have that much time left. Do I need to tell him? No, I can let it go and just appreciate what time we have left.

If I'd lost him and hadn't told him what my heart was full of, I'd go to a place we'd shared, and have a talk. Maybe there's no one but the fish and the water to hear, but I'd get it out, I'd give it to the lake and the wind and the sunlight, and trust that at some level he'd know and understand.

Peace.

Why only somebody back to life? Most of the time we wish that we had said somebody special that we love them before they diappear from our life not by death, maybe by indiffrence or distance and rest of our life is spend regretting that we missed our chance. So I think it's much better to speak our mind and tell the truth. maximum they will laugh at us but atleast you have the satisfaction that you told your truth and no regrets later on in life.

My Grandfather Buchan. To me, one of the greatest influences in my life.

He passed when I was 18, not yet quite "all grown up". My little brother never had a chance to know him because he was so young, but most of all he never got to be a Great Grandfather to my son.

Great question!

My father's parents and siblings (his family). It would have been easier had he not suffered so much loss in so little time. And it would have helped having another part of the family to rely on.
