Right now I'd ask him "Where are my keys?!" I want to go out, and they're nowhere to be seen!

Seriously; I'd ask him if he's happy with how I've lived so far.

I was thinking I should buy a few canvases, chuck paint on them - maybe roll around or walk all over them etc - then claim the resulting mess is a metaphor for the chaos of modern life, blah blah.

Then I could stick them up in a gallery, and charge £50k a piece.

Do you think this would work? I do - I've seen worse crap for sale.

If you Could not die under any circumstances whatever. Insant tissue regeneration, never getting ill. Even if you were burned in a furnace the particles would gather together and make you whole again. You would live untill the the Universe itself came to an end, perhaps for 15 to 20 Billion more years. I think a few thousand years or even tens of thousands of years would be desirable, but 20 Billion?

I have this thing, not so sure how to describe it but...it's on the inner of my lip. it's not on my gums but the part that touches it...like inside of my lip. it's white and it hurts. Stings..when i move my mouth or touch it with my tongue. it's little red and swollen but not really noticiable. I think it might be because for the last few days i haven't had sleep and even if i did it was like...maybe less than 3~hours. I had lots of stress doing paper work for school and my neck and body was all stiff and aching as well. I didn't get the chance to eat proper meals...3 times a day...so I skipped a lot. Do you think vitamins will help? I do have an insurance but it's for the summer..so I can't use it right now.

A Supermarket in California

By Allen Ginsberg (316)

What thoughts I have of you tonight, Walt Whitman, for I walked
down the sidestreets under the trees with a headache self-conscious
looking at the full moon.
In my hungry fatigue, and shopping for images, I went into the
neon fruit supermarket, dreaming of your enumerations!
What peaches and what penumbras*? Whose families shopping at
night! Aisles full of husbands! Wives in the avocadoes, babies in the
tomatoes!—and you, Garcia Lorca,* what were you doing down by
the watermelons?

I saw you, Walt Whitman, childless, lonely old grubber, poking
Among the meats in the refrigerator and eyeing the grocery boys.
I heard you asking questions of each: Who killed the pork chops?
What price bananas? Are you my Angel?
I wandered in and out of the brilliant stacks of cans following you,
and followed in my imagination by the store detective.
We strode down the open corridors together in our solitary fancy
tasting artichokes, possessing every frozen delicacy, and never passing
the cashier.

Where are we going, Walt Whitman? The doors close in an hour.
Which way does your beard point tonight?
(I touch your book and dream of our odyssey in the super-market
and feel absurd.)
Will we walk all night through solitary streets? The trees add shade
to shade, lights out in the houses, we’ll both be lonely.
Will we stroll dreaming of the lost America of love past blue
automobiles in driveways, home to our silent cottage?
Ah, dear father, graybeard, lonely old courage-teacher, what
America did you have when Charon* quit poling his ferry and you got
out on a smoking bank and stood watching the boat disappear on the
black waters of Lethe?*

1. i started pointe a few months ago. I use toe pads and a little bit of lambs wool and its probably a good thing but i never get blisters and my feet never hurt in the shoes. Is there some reason why?

2. How do you know when to stop using lambs wool in your pointe shoes?

3.does the teacher or the fitter tell you that you dont need the wool anymore?

4.Wouldnt you have to get a smaller size shoe if you took the lambs wool out to take away the extra space from where the wool was?

5. i tried on my pointe shoes without the wool and just pads and it didnt really hurt it just felt like i needed a smaller shoe. I thought they were supposed to hurt really bad but they dont and its so much easier without the wool. Is there a reason for all of this???

I'm in band and I know how to play the flute. I would like to join the jazz band but I don't think the flute is a good instrument b/c although it is jazz band they play kind of a rockier style music (they have bass, guitars, drums, etc), plus, also I would like to pick up another instrument. I've decided that I wanna learn how to play the keyboard. So, my question is: Is it really hard to play it? I mean, and I don't want to sound ignorant so corrent me if I'm wrong, but it seams to me like just about everyone plays the piano, and can I learn how to play it really well in 1 year?? I don't mean learn proffessionally in 1 year because I know it would take years of training and practice to play an instrument at a profesional level, but well enough that I could join a band and not embarrase myself???

I'm an atheist, which suggests that hell awaits when I die, but I'm also a research scientist. I work with a group of lovely people testing a new treatment for people with HIV, which suggests that I shouldn't go to hell. The treatment is gene therapy, which can be seen as 'playing God', so that also suggests hell. I try to be as environmentally responsible as I can be, so that steers me away from hell. So help me out here; where am I going to end up?

(Obviously, being an atheist, I don't actually believe I'm going to hell. I'd like to hear what religious people think my fate will be. I'm just curious and am not suggesting anything negative about religion - some of my best friends are muslim, jewish, catholic, etc.)
