An answer is the result of a question. In this they are dependent. The most useful answers are the result of asking correct questions, thus supporting the belief that searching for the right question is more valuable than a search for only its answer.

A question is the manifestation of an abstract; a thought; expressed in the concrete by language. Without the thought, the question would exist unknown, in the "ether". With thought it enters existence, with concrete expression, written or spoken language, it is existent, can be shared, can be acted upon.

Without thought, you would not have asked, without language you could not have asked, without you asking, I could not answer.

or something like that :-)

In the realm of knowledge, the question is the primodial form of knowledge. In lining up all the answers , at the end there will always be the first question which started it. In that first question there had to be a thought which began the process up to the point there would had been a universal thought which originated that started it all.

Well, the way I see it is,
1. You have to have question to have an answer ( no mater how distant or remote)
2. Questions are thoughts without answers. If your thoughts made sense, there would be no question.
Hope that help!

Why question a thoughtful answer?

in my line of thinking i call that a paradox. an infinite chain of causation. answers create thought which in turn create new questions. what would be interesting however would be to know the first question, it strikes me as an essential part of ultimate knowledge. but if there was a first question then this is infact not a paradox but a answerable question. hooda thunk.

b/c the reason that it is an answer to begin with, is because there was a question. otherwise, itd simply be a response. one doesnt ask a question, unless something has provoked you to. that which provoked you was a thought.
