Allowing priests to marry is actually theologically compatible with Catholicism. Catholic priests were habitually married up until the Middle Ages. Then due to abuse and nepotism, the Church turned to celibacy. Today there are actually a very few married Roman Catholic priests. This can happen when a man is a married priest in the Orthodox rite, but then converts to Roman Catholicism. In that specific instance, he may be allowed to continue as a priest in the Roman Catholic Church even though he is married. As you can imagine, this is not a frequent occurence, however.
Some people have claimed that allowing priests to marry would cut down on peodophilial behavior. I would suggest that peodophilia is a psychological illness and not something that would be fixed by allowing priests to marry.
I kind of like having celibate priests in that it allows them to devote themselves to their ministry. The apostles may have been married, but they probably weren't able to be very good husbands due to their travels and their ministry. Nonetheless, if the Church were to allow priests to marry again, I would have no serious objections.

*Is Catholic*
At this very moment, Catholic priests are allowed to be married. But they are Eastern Catholic priests.
Roman Catholic priests are not allowed to be married. If you study our history, the worst problems occurred in the Western Church when there were Roman Catholic priests who were married. It has always been a low time in the Church when there have been priests with wives (allowed or in violation of Church law).
Secondly, celibate priests is a special charism of the Roman Rite. It is a part of what defines the Roman Rite and makes it special and unique.
Thirdly, allowing married priests actually doesn't attract people to the priesthood. People may think that having married priests would be good, but it doesn't make them want to be priests. So why change?
Fourthly, the push for married priests is in the modern period tied to a bunch of heretical positions. People who want married priests ususaly want X Y and Z which can better be filled by being liberal Protestant.

They are married - to the Church
And catholic nuns are married to God (they actually were a band on there left ring finger).
But if you mean to another person and not to an ideology . . . .
well, maybe they should seek employment with a protestant faith.

Yes yes yes
It might cut down on the sexual perverts who are priests.
It is so sickening what priest do. I would never trust one of them.
Other churchs have pastors who marry. it sure works better.
