Try to not worry so much about what other people think. I use to have this problem, but I don't now. The reason, aside from personal hygiene (which I try to maintain), I don't do anything to impress anyone else. Regardless of whatever you do, there will be people who will love you, like you, be indifferent toward you and hate you. If you just be yourself, you will find those that love and like you. You can't change the one who don't like you or hate you, in fact they will probably hate you more.

I once thought I had a confidence problem until a friend pointed out to me that I enter a room with confidence and walk with confidence. I realized that whatever I thought I felt on the inside was obviously not manifesting on the outside. And if I was confident on the outside, I could be confident on the inside. It worked.

I also stopped reading women's magazines and all women's programming which is usually designed to make women feel less amazing than they are. Look around the things, people, etc. that are giving you messages of being "less than" and remove them from your life. Immediately!

Write down a list of what you are good at and what your weaknesses are. When you figure out what your interested in, find as many books, videos, and cd's about these subjects. More and more people will respect you and listen to you when they know you have something important and interesting to say.
As far as the weaknesses go, find a way to improve them or at least downplay them. Remember nobody's perfect, and everybody has their flaws, but not everybody takes pride in their job or hobbies.
Good luck.

Say and do things you wouldn't normally do. I tend to have a similar problem.I find, for example, if someone 'wrongs' me i normally wouldn't say anything for fear of looking stupid or.. whatever, but if you say it without thinking it over and actually make the effort to do it, then you'll find it begins to lift you higher.

Confidence is a fantastic feeling :) the feeling that nobody can knock you down, you are your own man (or woman) and you control your own life.

You must first learn that you are special because God created you accdg. to His own image and that He gave His life for you. Just be comfortable with yourself. Know your talents and skills. Know your weaknesses and allow God to change you. It doesn't mean that when you have a weakness, you're not good anymore. Everyone has weaknesses. Sometimes, they hide it. They also deny it. But to know and confess that you have weaknesses is the first step in standing up. Learn to treasure your friends. Keep your head up. But not too high.

Do the opposite. Always give yourself the benefit of the doubt. Start thinking more analytical and practical.

Good luck!
