The wooden stake through the heart and direct sunlight are pretty common. However nothing is quite the same in all stories; in some stories vampires crumble to dust once impaled, in others you have to cut off the head, in some the body even remains intact and if the stake is removed, even many years later, the wound will heal and the vampire will rise again.
Same with sunlight; according to some stories any daylight is fatal, in others only bright sunlight is, and vampires can even handle an overcast day. According to some stories a vampire is comatose all day, in others he only has to stay out of the sun.
Garlic, holy water and crosses are rarely fatal, usually only work as repellant and may cause injury.
Silver bullets are for werewolves, just a few vampire stories include those.

The most common would be sunlight, holy water, wooden stake and garlic. In some vampire stories ordinary water is enough to hurt a vampire and silver burns on contact.

Depends on the vampire mythos. Some interpretations suggest that vampires are not affected by a cross at all. Others obviously show that this would work. I've seen places where a beheading would work. Setting them on fire as well. And there are those myths that teach if you kill the sire, the first vampire in a family, you kill all of its off-spring.

The sun, silver bullets, garlic, holy cross, and holy water all are terribly painful and repelling to vampires, but the only way to truly kill them is a wooden stake to the heart.

Anyways: silver bullet, garlic (breath!), crosses of all kinds, holy water, wood pick or something... for starters! But of course, you have to make sure it's not crual and unusual punishment, because you could end up in jail for that ^_^
