I have an old picture that I want to make a copy of.But it has an old copyright stamp on it.The picture is about 28 years old,and I want to copy it at the store and but they won't let me.The photo shop where the picture was taken doesn't exist.What could I do?

In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Dumbledore has to drink the liquid in the basin in the cave in order to reach the Horcrux. Could he not have simply scupped it out with the cup and spilled in on the ground? I'm sure JK had a reason why he couldn't do this but why didn't she make that clear. It annoys me because obviously that is what weakens Dumbledore and leads to his death.

What kind of camera ( or is it the film? sorry, I'm not too tech savvy ) can I use to get that old, scratchy ( or soft) look? Like from the 70's or earlier?
