Okay, I don't know why but the more I talk about Harry, the more Neville comes into mind. So what's your opinion, do you like Neville or not?

Wow, people. I am truly disappointed that not one of you saw that that was not intended as a genuine question but as a criticism of those who ask such questions on these blogs as "Why are liberals/conservatives/communists/environmentalists etc.. so stupid."

I thought that, by making the title of the question so incredibly ridiculous, coupled with the utter lack of actual *opinions* being expressed as superior to those of all others, it would be plainly obvious that my question was a joke.

My 6 year old got a magic set for christmas. I have looked on the web but not found anything obvious. Anyone out there know any simple tricks using easy to get hold of objects, which she would be able to perform. She really enjoys magic but the sets are a bit expensive and most are too in depth. Alternatively are there any web sites which show easy tricks without having to pay for the product? Thanks in anticipation....

She is not the best drawer and I would say that she is more abstract. She does have a very good eye for fashion and can draw that way. I want to continue to encourage her and get her materials that she can use. And something to keep her thinking about this options seriously.

Thank you to anyone who can help or give suggestions.

A question I have to do for homework is, "what problems does Source K [below] suggest historians encounter when trying to explain attitudes held by men during the first world war from the perspective of the late twentieth century?"

Source K is: 'Our plastic throw away, take-away society is completely alien to the spartan values for which the men of 1914 to 1918 fought and died. What place does 'courage', 'comradeship', 'loyalty' and above all, 'sacrifice' have in the 'me' world?... The bewilderment on te faces of the aged survivors of the war when I asked them what they thought of the modern world, was painful to behold.'
Extract from 'The war walk', written in 1983 by Nigel Jones.

I'm not asking anyone to do my homework because I'm capable of that when I get the gist of the question but:
1. I don't understand what the question's asking me to do
and
2. I don't really understand what the source is saying..

Can anyone enlighten me on these please?!

Lorna

Ponderosa Road connects from Canada to Mexico. Supposedly a secret route developed by the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II to be used in case of main routes being cut off. I am looking for the history and facts surrounding this road, some of which is paved and used, some is dirt or gravel, some accessible by 4WD.

What if you're on a desert island, a ship lost at sea, or whatever, and you and some others are starving... and someone dies. Is it moral to eat them? Could there be a day when human beings might clone their own flesh to feed themselves, in some future where food is scarce?
