Examples to support your opinions would be great, for instance this action in this situation would be bravery, but this act in the same situation would be stupidity.

I was born in the Palmdale, Calif. Hospital in February of 1938, and delivered by Dr. Snook.
I have requested my birth certificate and they tell me there is no record of my birth in Los Angelos County, or anywhere in the state of Calif. I have even gotten my attorney involved to help me and he can find nothing.
Does anyone know if this hospital may have possibly burned down, or been torn down, and somehow the records lost?
If I had been born at home I could understand this, but not when I was born in a hospital and delivered by a doctor.
I have recently moved to the state of Georgia who will not give me a drivers license without a copy of my birth certificate, even though I've had a license for 50 yrs.
HELP SOMEONE!!

By the militant athiesm I mean thinkers like Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris who present an explictly hostile attitude towards religon. I can see this movement creating further conflict and lowering chances of creating a peaceful society.

I have this story about a sixteen year old who thought she loved this guy alot and so she had sex with him and got pregnant. And she ended up telling him and in the process found out who he was cheating with, her best friend. She gets a new boyfriend too. One day the baby is with her sister and she gets a call from her sister telling her to rush home as she is talking with her old friend and the new woman of her ex boyfriend and baby daddy's eye. She goes home to find her daughter not breathing so well with a high fever. So she takes her to the hospital and a few hours later the baby dies. I want something else to happen between then but I am not sure, but I think I should rebuild her confidence in herself or what before I make the seqeal

I wanted to change something, not a massive thing, in my place of work, because I believed the 'current' way was flawed - to be told it has 'always' been like that - was a bit if a shock, and upon investigation, it turned out to not have 'always been like that' at all, and only very recently changed.....during a conversation I asked someone why when snow falls is it white, when water is colourless, and the sky that it falls from is the same - 'it's always been like that' was the reply.....so, how long for something to have been considered 'always like that'?

I am going for my poetry recital and I am not sure if I should wear a mask during my performance. I am reciting 'O Captain My Captain' by Walt Whitman and I really want it to be a masterpiece! But, I think that a mask will make the performance better, is it true?

So. If global warming doesn't kill us, what will happen to the human race? Do you think we will all end up the same colour and race or do you think we will evolve into something different? I'm in a philosophical mood today :-)

I read recently that the man standing next to him was shot dead by a soldier at a roadblock 100 yards away...that bullet could so easily have killed the man who would become history's most hated figure.

I want to take a holiday where I do nothing but hole up in a room and read -- and maybe take occasional walks to stretch out a bit. No work, no tv, no movies, minimal human interaction, etc. So what book should I take?

I'm thinking maybe one of the following: James Joyce's Ulysses, Dante's Divine Comedy, or Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov -- but I want other people's ideas. It should be a fairly challenging book, long enough to reward sustained attention over about ten days, the kind of thing it's hard to get through with all the distractions of ordinary life. Also, of course, it should be a book that challenges the way we think, gives a different outlook on life, a new vision on things. Call it 'transformative' if you wish.

The book in question could be a great story, but it should be more than 'just' a great story, if you know what I mean. Basically, it should be a classic -- whether new or old.

It can be a book you've read and loved, or a book you want to read.
