How long did it take you to read "Harry Potter and the half-blood prince"?

How long do you think it took you to read the sixth Harry Potter book?

I was just wondering, as I haven't read it yet, and thought it would be a good read to take when I go on holiday when I'm waiting at airports, or travelling.

Did you know cord blood can save lives?

Did you know that the ambilical cord blood can save lives of kids with cancer? Why is it not a mandatory question that mothers giving birth get asked? Is it an option anywhere in the world? & how can we let more people know this information? The stem cells taken from the ambilical cord can be grown to help grow what kids need to recover from lukemia. Some older children need twins cord blood, but in most younger childrens cases one is enough as long as it is of the right blood type and covers all the cross matching.

How much to charge for a mural??

A man wants me to paint a portrait of his daughter on the wall above her bed. Now, I know this may not necessarily constitute as a mural, but I'd like to use your suggestions for future reference. I don't think it will be too hard... probably around medium on a difficulty scale. And I'll probably charge based on size... but how much on that rate?
I don't have a lot of experience, (did two murals before) but I have done several paintings/drawings. I have a lot of talent, and people have always been VERY impressed with the results.

I want a good price for both parties involved; I don't want to overcharge the guy, but I don't want to shortchange myself, either.

Do you like my poem?

She waits in sorrow her father has left. Her mother is crying afraid of his death. One day at school a phone call and she knows. The sadness within her the remorse grow's. No more dad. No one to comfort her when she's sad. Her heart is breaking. No comfort she's taking. Her friends they can't help her. No where can she shelter. Away from this pain that's been given.

I wrote that for anyone who's dad went to war and who didn't come back.

What kind of fixative do you recommend for pastels?

I have been using pastels off and on again for years, and I am thinking of getting into it again.... I've wondered about fixatives, I have always used unscented hairspray- but I am wondering if this is a good practice, since it is not made especially for art?
What kinds of fixatives do you use and is the pump kind better than the spray kind? Any imput would be great! Thanks, guys! :) SD

Do human need emotion or not, since garbage and for stupid people?

Some people think human don't need emotion because it is nothing but a distraction and useless. According to the cold rational,people who are emotional (annoyingly sensitive), are truly overexaggarted their situation force them look like ,they are stupid and weak. However, they are actually smart despited being very stressful. True or not?
