It was about a whole small town doing it to all the kids and i could swear there was baby or doll in the title

I'm a bookworm but i don't remember any story like that except maybe in comics stories and the reason is because the child is very talented and popular so the parents don't like her to grow up for fear of losing her popularity in adult time but I also forget the title of this comics story.
