I was curious as to the origans of the name 'bottom' used to describe that on which we sit. It appears to be plainly in the middle of our bodies (although often sags rairly low for some unfortunates). Should it not therefore be know as the 'middle' or even 'back bottom'?

I've had a brief look on the internet, and there doesn't seem to be an awful lot.

I posted a question about helping a dying little girl 40 minutes ago and no answers. I posted a question about "what kind of answers do you answer here" kinda thing and have 5 within 5 minutes.
Is this a reflection on human nature in general? What do you think?
Personally i'm a little disappointed.

Is it just me or do most opt for answering silly questions like Chiken and egg or meaning of life when these have been asked dozens and dozens of times before. I'm only asking when questions about poor dying little girls go unanswered or genuine philosophy questions receive little response in my Q+A's?
Do you think people just answer for the points and get turned off REAL questions when they see a challenge? Or am i missing something here?
