You have asked a question for which there is no answer, similar to a question like 'what is the meaning of a hamburger?'. A better word than 'meaning' would be 'purpose'. The purpose of a hamburger is to satisfy hunger and provide energy and nutrients (whether it is fit for that purpose is another matter). The purpose of all evolved life is to survive and reproduce (if you believe evolutionist theory as I understand it). what you make of your own life is up to you and if you want to ascribe a meaning to it, subscribe to a religion which assigns it a meaning and if you want to believe life was put on the planet rather than evolved then you are free to do so.

The answer to this question is different for different people. First you must become aware of your existence and what it means, then you can define your own purpose in life.
Some people have their purpose defined for them, and others have to find their own purpose in life. However, what is universal is that you must be aware of your existence before there can be any meaning to your life.
Given that you accept that you are on this planet, and that you have choices, your purpose then is to decide what your purpose is and then use your choices wisely so that you are consistent with your purpose.
Primarily we are here, and we have a natural desire to reproduce. Whether this is essential for existence is up to you, and may not necessarily be something for which you get any choice. Given that it is partly outside of your control, and partly inside of your control, you can only make the choice from your side.
Therefore, as reproduction is partly outside of your control, you are totally responsible for defining your existence (or purpose) without reproduction.
What could that purpose be? You have time between birth and death, during which you have choices. How you use those choices and what decisions you make should be consistent with whatever purpose you decide your life without reproduction should be.
Should your life include reproduction due to factors outside of your control, then you will have a different purpose or meaning of life. Your purpose or meaning of life will change to nurturing, and protecting and feeding your children so that through their lives you will continue to live after your death.
In conclusion then, it would appear there are two generalised life paths. One life path is a solitary confinement, in which you are isolated and excluded from society and left to contemplate what purpose you have in life. The other path is one in which society includes you, and you have a clear purpose in nurturing protecting and developing your children.
You can make a choice with regards which path you would like to take, but you cannot necessarily take that path without forces which are outside of your control taking that path with you.

Any answer to this question will be an assumption only.
So my assumption goes like this:
There is a Creator and He has His purpose behind the creations what we see today and we ourselves (one of the creations). Looking around the world, I find that the most valuable feature in any human being is infallible faithfulness to himself and equally to others. An unbiased mind is very very rare to find. Once that is evolved through the world, His purpose is met with. He will make use those group of people for His purposes later.

The on going development of a species , what ever that species is . Oh and 42 of course . People do not understand they are conditioned to think that the sole purpose of life is to better one self rather than the world and a species as a whole .

Life is such that all questions have already been answered. If we try we can find answer to every question we have. We can only know our questions well as it is not often that an answer comes to us the way we like it to be. However, here is the one I found for you.
Imagine one day you wake up in the morning and find yourself on an unknown magical land far away from you home - this planet in your instance. You find this new world charming and beautiful. Its impact upon you senses is spellbinding. You look at this world learn admiration. You feel curious and set out to explore, seek out more of your newly found world. Then you look around and realise that there are other people like you around, and you learn love.
You realise that this is not only the world of beauty and charm but it is also a world of love and care. Then soon you also realise that there is no end to love and beauty here, in the world you know. You ask yourself question, and think – can there be more love, much more? You think and your journey begins. But you do not know where to go, where to find what you are looking for, and you no longer remember where you are from, where all the love, care and beauty of the world come form? You know inside that the origins of these things cannot be different from your own origins – simply because you feel them and you always feel at home with these things. You sense a subtle connection within that reminds you of somewhere that you need to return, something that you need to find, and somebody you need to be and know yourself as. You search; you travel, both in your mind and in your heart. You travel over on land and over seas. You try to be better and better as a person, you try to excel in everything you do because you know that one day you will face the true excellence and you want to make sure that your are worthy of it.
Our life is like this – a journey. We do not have exactly in view, as we have material things, where we are from but we have not lost the touch with our destination - we intuitively know what our purpose is, and that there should be a purpose. This is what we are to keep in mind here, to figure out from the life we have, what this life is about - and what it can be? What is the essence, and what is the reality of existence. Throughout our life seek the meanings of life. We improve ourselves and try to become better and better not only for the world we find ourselves in but also for an unseen destination. We try to transcend thought with our faith and try to excel the matter in search of our heavenly origins.
Life is a journey from an early displacement to our proper placement, and the purpose of this journey is to travel it well so that we know here and now where we are going, and how to ensure that we eventually get there.

For each of us, what we spend it on. For the species, none except what we collectively choose. Right now it looks as though that will be mutual murder, destruction of the planet's
life support systems, extinction of a lot of other species, and probably ourselves. Perhaps none of us can spend most of our life fighting that disaster and developing alternatives, which would certainly give our lives real meaning - but I suggest most of us could give our lives more purpose, and meaning, by at least spending some of our energy on it. And apart from that, we can all give our lives more meaning by really observing and appreciating what we've got of the real world, and the people we love, while it lasts.

I can't answer your question because everyone puts the meaning/purpose they want to their life. But what surprises me is the number of questions on this topic.

The meaning of life is one word.. Experience... Experience everything that comes your way.. The first thing you experience is Birth and the last is Death. If you live your life right there will be a very long gap between the two and many wonderful experiences... Good Luck in yours..
