I manifest my destiny on top of your now crushed skull.
I wear a gas mask to get my latte, spend my star bucks quick.
Buying moon boots to prove a flag wont flap and wave in space.
Dying my flag with the blood of the indigenous people.
These colors dont run because they carry heavy guns and ammo.
Babies in comoflauge with cognitive baffles and bazookas.
Flaming eagles talons gripping bombs and used heroin needles.
Raining napalm laced with basic hatred and marketable guns.
Radiation and dead children lineing these long bone paved roads.
I smell gun powder clouds lit fuses and waves of ground infantry.
Cannon fodder and shrapnal mobiles spin above fox hole cribs.
Born into war and hatred where we find our job is enslavement.

My mother was given a painting of The Blue Boy when she taught school in 1965. The teacher who gave it to her had it hanging in her classroom since around 1938-1940. It has a tag of sorts on the back from a Chicago gallery that burned during the Chicago fires and I can't remember the name of it. My mother has since passed and I was left the painting, but I don't have any ideas about the value. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't even remember the plot! I know it was a picture book. I believe it was a portly man who was eaten up. There is a clear image in my mind of the couch - at an angle - with just eyeglasses and possibly a cravat or tie on the cushions - which was all that was left of him.
I would have read it in the late 70's/early 80's, but my husband remembers the same thing, which could put it back in the 60's, or earlier still.
Nothing like a sinister children's book to remember after all these years...the drawings perhaps had lurid overtones, but I am not sure.
Thanks to anyone who might know!

The image I print would be clip-art additions to the page. I wouldn't be printing any photos; rather, just background details and/or lettering. I want to make sure doing some details with the computer & printer wouldn't detract from the life of the photos or scrapbook.

Specifically, Phantom... it was my first show so many years ago and it is still my favorite.
I have loved Broadway for as long as I can remember and I have heard of people getting tours. How do you do that? Whom would I have to contact? It can't be just for family/ friends of the cast.
Thanks!!

If so, can someone explain to me, why would all these words be found in English? isn't it a little naive to assume there is going to be a secret code in the Old Testament and it will be written in English? Feels too much like "Hollywood" to me, where all the aliens destroy the world (I mean, the United States of America).

Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks.

Ina...you mentioned something about "nobody cares when a
minority gets killed, but a white (rich) little beauty queen
gets all the attention", pretty much what you said. Let me
tell all you blacks or mexicans or whatever, you all have
the same opportunities as everyone else!! Stop pulling
out the race card every time something doesn't go your
way. Many white people get killed every minute, and they
don't get in the paper. Rodney King got his millions didn't
he !! So, nobody gave a crap huh ?!! BS. It's people like
you that divide this nation instead of try to bring it down.
Look at Oprah..Martin Luther King. He did things the RIGHT
way. And that is why ALL people respected him. Grow up
and stop blaming the system. Or rather, society......

I am a writer. I live in Trinidad in the west Indies. There are no writing camps on my island. I have had some success with a play I wrote a few years aback, but find it difficult to really settle down to my book in progress. The computer is constantly contracting viruses (although we have anti-virus in place), and I have lost more manuscripts than I care to remember - despite backkups and hard copies, Added to which I do not get much time on the computer, because I reside with my family who has priority, since they built it, upgrade and maintain it. The downside of that being everytime my whizz computer sons do something, or add something new, I'm lost for awhile. It is a real putter-offer. I go to our Public Library when I reall y need to get something done urgently, but one is only allowed an hour, and I am a two finger typist (but a fast two finger typist once I have been on the computer for a very long period of time. How do I get into a writing camp?

OK...here's the million dollar question....my professional photograhper friend and I have a serious debate...In my opinion, digital photography is great...as far as it being utilitarian, conveniant, efficent, etc, etc...however...not the best for true "artistic" photography. I feel that it pulls away from the art to have an image digitized and broken down into pixils and then rescrambled back together on an LCD screen. To have an image that is actually burned by light into film seems much more authentic and real. My photographer friend thinks it makes no difference and doesn't interfere with the artistic process to use digital. Any thoughts?
