I shoot, develop and print my own B&W photos, mostly cats (but also some dogs):

But my favorite B&W photographer is Elliott Erwitt, especially his dog series. I consider him as my inspiration:

I do of course. I appreciate the masters Adams and such but my Favorite images are mine. They may not be the best image for you but I was there and each time I have a shot I love it takes me back to where I was when I shot it, what the smells were etc. I am an Air Force Combat Aerial Photographer and I travel the world shooting and I have so many photos that I love simply becasue I know the story behind the image and in some cases so one else does unless I tell them. My job is to tell the story wiht my images and it has become easy for me but it's the ones that don't tell the whole story that I tend to like more.

There is only one photographer. Most others are just people holding a camera trying to catch some light.

His name is Ansel Adams. Just look at the picture called "Moonrise over Hernandez". A fool who doesn't admire that picutre. I once had the pleassure to hold the shot in my hand, setting it up for a show. I spend an hour looking at the picture mesmerized, just to be asked by a passer-by if everything is alright with me. It was then that i noticed that tears were running from my face.

I like Ansel Adams very much. I think I might like Dorothea Lange even more, simply because I find portraits more interesting than landscapes in general, I think. Both photographers definitely have something to say about America.

Ben Watts... he's been shooting since the 80's. His style is hip-hop driven. Very gritty and interesting photos :)
