The Lord Peter Wimsey mystery books by Dorothy L. Sayers, if you are interested in being challenged intellectually and reading some excellent literary fiction. They have a subtle Christian bias.

QueenMonkey steered you rght to the Lord Peter Wimsey books. Sayers wrote beautifully. Some really skilful modern-day mystery writers are Minette Walters and Val McDermid--both have a great sense of character development. And don't laugh, have you read The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie yet? It might be the only one of her books worth reading, but it's pretty good.

I've recently discovered Kathy Reichs...she is a forensic anthropologist who uses some of her cases in her murder stories. There is a show on tv called "bones" based on her stories, but I've never seen that...her books though are really good, very fast-paced and exciting.

genuine books. i like the feeling once you carry them and the scent of them even as they are sparkling. even if, E-books are effective considering i might want to carry 2,000 or more beneficial books with me everywhere i flow. I deliver my kindle with me after I go back and forth and its a lot less puzzling than wearing 3 books or more beneficial on a visit. Plus the books are more low priced. i purchased a e book for $5 it truly is a huge huge difference from its hardcover ($12). yet nevertheless, i like genuine books.
