Some people think human don't need emotion because it is nothing but a distraction and useless. According to the cold rational, people who are emotional (annoyingly sensitive), are truly overexaggarted their situation force them look like ,they are stupid and weak. However, they are actually smart despited being very stressful. True or not?

Do you think human emotion is truly garbage and unneccesary in the world that force us to be stupid (irrational in a good term)? Or is it very important since to avoid the dull, cold and boring world?

By the way, I'm a sensitive and caring person. Very often, I hide my negative feelings, like sadness, nervousity, panic, anger, revenge. Also,I always use my cool-headed and brains( thinking before acting) to solve the problem in crisis situation.

I would say not true, and that whoever states that it is the fault of emotion that causes a waste of time, or that it's useless ... is probably confused. To deal with ones emotions is to deal with ones' self, to know how one feels about given situations or stimuli. This is where emotions are important. To discard them is to discard a part of yourself that gives you comfort, or peace, or joy, and other times sadness, despair, hopelessness, etc. Now, the reaction to the feelings may be another story ... perhaps that is what some people are trying to describe to you ... that overexaggerating intense feelings may seem a bit over the top. I would say that allowing emotions to fully control you, or if you think that you have the right to say whatever you want or do whatever you want because of how you feel, or that you're not responsible for a particular action because of your feelings ... i.e. I can't help it, I was feeling sad, so I ate all of the ice cream, etc, that is when it becomes a bit of a nuisance ... but that isn't the fault of the emotion ... it is the fault of the person who allowed the emotion to tempt them into doing something that they should not have done. So, I would say to live without feelings would be a bit empty ... no feelings of joy, happiness, sadness, suffering, etc ... to feel nothing? No, I would like to have feelings, but I try not to let them get the best of me ... even if I'm happy ... I just don't get carried away with my emotions ... or I should say, I don't let my emotions carry me away.

Emotions are a distraction that can get in the way of making sound, rational decisions. How many people do the wrong thing because they are overcome by anger, and regret it? Emotions are necessary, however, because without them we would just be blah and have no motivation. Like Aristotle or Sophocles, we should strike a balance between emotions and rationalism.

Emotions are a part of human existence, i'm not sure what you're asking? I know some people like to hide their emotions, especially he-man or alpha male types, as well as the 'dorky' rational types, but trust me, everyone is emotional to some extent.

What a cold cruel world we would live in had we had no sensitivites what so ever. We need emotion for empathy. Ok...so we will never make a lot of money if you are empathic, but you will be rich with friends and family.

Thinking objectively, I do think that most emotions are useless. Some emotions are so strong that a person will forget all animalistic (both positive and negative) instincts.

Emotions are what makes life worth living. Love is an emotion, and without it (all different kinds of love) why bother?

Without emotion, there'd be no reason for us to do anything. On the other hand, without reason, we wouldn't know HOW to do anything. Obviously, a balance is necessary; but anyone who argues that either reason or emotion can be dispensed with is kidding himself.
