The heroine was a pigtailed schoolgirl who finds a colony of tiny people during school vacation. She would take a flatboat to the marsh when her governess had a headache or a visit from the vicar. She met the teeny king of the people, and that's all I remember. I would LOVE to read this as an adult!

I read this story over 20 years ago I thing... the moral was not wasting resources and recycling what you do use... All of the characters were animals and bugs. I remember their habitat was poluted by humans and they decided how to best clean everything up and utilize what was left behind for others.

It was an extremely inventive story and enjoyable as well.

I remember in particular that the animals had to use everything and had difficulty finding a use for a used glob of purple or orange chewing gum.

Thats all I remember.

10 points to the first to point me to it... (I would give 100 or 1000 if I could!!!)

Thank you in advance for your assistance!!!

If Man came from Adam and Eve, then how come historically, we have seen drawings of man evolving from ape? And if he did, how come there are still apes out there?

I'm thinking religion, following an ideology, a culture, a way of life. Acidheads, cults, revolutions, fascism. All thinking they have found "the" answer.

Around the year 1818, how long would it have taken to sail from Lower Canada (Quebec) to England? And please don't just say 'a few weeks'. I'd rather something more specific. Thanks.

People have accused me of being right up my own bottom because I'm an actress but I have heard of the Irish Question and the West Lothian Question. Trouble is I don't know the anwsers. I hope that humble but charming confession endears me to you all a little more.

Does god expect one to arrive at faith through reason or is that idea contradictory to the concept of faith? If god requires you to look beyond reason, than is reason not the devil's most useful tool? And why does god give the human free will; that is, the ability to freely reason so as to come upon a decision and then ask them to abandon reason?

I have a little background in most forms of dance, ballroom, ballet, jazz, modern, not extensive, but I do have a love for teaching and a love for dance. I take as many dance lessons as possible. The problem is I'm 26 is it too late for me to consider becoming a teacher?
