I think folk should stop looking for the light at the end of the tunnel and start living life, whatever it brings. Live for today. Stop wasting time worrying aboutt tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes.
No-one has found the "answer" cos there is no answer. There's just the here and now

The answer is that there is "no' answer. There is no light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.. We all turn to dust...all our accomplishments will be forgotton in a thousand years. If for some reason your bones are fossilized, even they will turn to dust. You may have an impact on your kids and thier kids, but eventually, all you'll be is a ink spot on a family tree and a name on a tombstone...but even that will turn to dust in a millenia.
So what's the use of living if there's no light at the end of the tunnel.... We have a temporary meaning to life....to decrease pain and increase pleasure....all else is lost to oblivion.

The statement is just a metaphor, so there will be a light there or not based on whether you want a light at the end of your tunnel.

if the tunnel was sum1s life and the light is all its acheivements then the light is surely to b found. for evry1. now it depends on what relgion or what beliefs u have. im a strong christian and i believe that after our tunnel (life) has ended an angel or messenger comes and takes our spirit to god. if we want then god willl send us back to earth. but probably as some other person. there are different tunnels for evry person. its just about how u trust in it. btw i liked your question. very thoughtful.

No. There is always light no matter what tunnel your considering. Of course there is always an end to a tunnel, at least one. Even a black hole which emits no light will have light if you were to view from within.

Well metaphorically speaking if there is no light at the end of the tunnel you are just digging a hole.
