Neither. If you 'need' someone, you need them because you want them to fill your needs. If you truly love someone, you need to fill their needs, not yours.

The more appropriate one is the latter. Why? Because the one says I am dependent on you, therefore i love you. I can't think for myself, I can't be a whole person without you, you complete me, you're my other half. All this emotional dependence on someone because I don't value myself enough to live life freely, can't stand on my own two feet and don't care to find out who I really am. You gotta love me, etc. etc. etc. Anything to avoid meeting the only one who really needs me (other than people placed under my care) - me.

I need you because I love you. What a wonderful thing to say.

I Love you only will make things go simple .. but if you have to choose then .i dont know because both have a good hidden meaning and a bad hidden meaning like
1- i love you because i need you >> Then if you didnt need the person you wouldnt love him
2- i need you because i love you >> then if you found you love someone more you wont need that person anymore ..
So Just say i love you !

well, both these statements sound that there is a condition for loving. both these lines talk of a "need", does that mean if there is no need of the person there is no love at all??

i'd prefer to think, say and believe that love is unconditional. "i love you for what you are, irrespective of my need or desire for you." this sounds more appropriate. love is constant and unconditional. this is the highest level of expressing love for someone. all my efforts are directly towards reaching such a level in this lifetime.

I love you because i love you is better I love because you are you. Who wants to be loved just because they are needed then comes the question what exactly do you need me for?

Think deeply.
How and why you love that one? how did it really happen? there must be a reason motivated you to love that person and make it happen because that kind of need what ever it make you feel happy, comfortable, confidant, secure, or other. these are needs.
So, I love you because I need you.

I need you because I love you is better I think. I love you because I need you implies that you care about the other person for selfish reasons.

I need you because I love you...

The love comes first, causing the need... At least I'd prefer this from a lover.

I love you because I need you...

The need comes first, and is (I'm assuming) met, causing the love. Sounds dependant, but I wouldn't mind this from my child. Children are, by nature, dependant.

Neither of the two is appropriate for me. Coz either of the two is conditional love, hence not love at all.
