No rules in art baby!

I don't think there are any rules, but if you're interested in using ink you should try different styles like stippling, cross-hatching and such. Also, study other ink artist's styles and works to get a feel for what you would like to achieve. And, probably most important, try different pens until you find one that you like. I prefer gel pens, others like ball point. Good luck!

I also beleive that you don't need rules for inking. Just do what feels right for you, experiment with different types of pens, speedballs, etc. Though you can try to practice thick and thin lines and even hatching techniques to give your inked art more volume. Hope that helps...

Egads - all these years, and NOW I find out there are rules?
