I read this story over 20 years ago I thing... the moral was not wasting resources and recycling what you do use... All of the characters were animals and bugs. I remember their habitat was poluted by humans and they decided how to best clean everything up and utilize what was left behind for others.

It was an extremely inventive story and enjoyable as well.

I remember in particular that the animals had to use everything and had difficulty finding a use for a used glob of purple or orange chewing gum.

Thats all I remember.

10 points to the first to point me to it... (I would give 100 or 1000 if I could!!!)

Thank you in advance for your assistance!!!
