The 2nd amendment to the United States constitution guarantees me protection agaist the infringment of my right to keep and bear arms.....This is such clear language that it seems as though only someone who is crooked and has an agenda could twist it out of context for political reasons.....

A circular pond of radius 12 m has a layer of ice 0.25 m thick. On a spring day, the temperature of the water below the ice is 4.0°C and the temperature of the air above is 11°C. What is the rate of heat transfer through the ice, in kW?

- The thermal conductivity of air k (W/mK) is 0.025 , and its thermal resistance RSI-value (m2 x K/W) (for 1 inch) is 1.00 and R-value (ft2 x F° x h/Btu) is 5.70.
- The thermal conductivity of water k (W/mK) is 0.598, and its thermal resistance RSI-value (m2 x K/W) (for 1 inch) is 0.04 and R-value (ft2 x F° x h/Btu) 0.24.
- The thermal conductivity of 0° C ice k (W/mK) is 2.14 , and its thermal resistance RSI-value (m2 x K/W) (for 1 inch) is 0.01 and R-value (ft2 x F° x h/Btu) 0.07.
-These values are at 10^5 Pa, 20°C.

Thus far, my answer of 25 kW was incorrect, help please?

After a hard rainstorm filled all the potholes in the streets and alleys, a young mother watched her two little boys playing in the puddles through her kitchen window. The older of the two, a five-year-old lad, grabbed his sibling by the back of his head and shoved his face into one of the water holes. As the boy recovered and stood laughing and dripping, the mother was running toward them in a panic.
"Why on earth did you do that to your little brother?" she said, as she shook the older boy's shoulders in anger, combined with relief.
"We were just playing church mommy," he said. "And I was just baptizing him. You know, 'In the name of the Father, the Son and in the hole he goes.'"

I think they might subconsciously think that thinking outside of one's cultural background and giving up tradition and heritage in search for the truth (which replaces what the tradition that's lost at least 5-fold) is a difficult task and they may not have the courage to do so.

As an African American Male Atheist, I am a minority of a minority. So, it is obvious I wouldn't want to bring this upon myself unless it's something I truly wanted. Atheism is so liberating to me. I can study all different cultures and learn so much wisdom from various myths without believing in them. Life is truly more enriching this way.

The thing I lose is my heritage, the religion of the slave massa was passed down to the slaves. Ever since, Christianity has been an integral part of African American culture and it encompasses almost everything. The Church is almost the backbone of my tradition and it kind of hurts to give up that part of me for the truth.

For those of you who don't know, California is the only state in the US that is allowed to enact air pollution laws that are more stringent than federal standards. The Clean Air Act, however, requires California to get a waiver from the EPA before enacting such regulations.

California has obtained several such waivers over the last 30 years. Last week was the first time such a waiver was denied. California was trying to regulate carbon pollution. Actually, the EPA ignored the petition until California sued and a federal judge ordered the EPA to evaluate it. California has threatened to sue again over the denial.

I am interested in hearing what people think of this issue. Please note that I am NOT interested in your opinions on global warming or Kyoto Protocol or any of that stuff, only on the federalism issues.
