Not all men think like that. Most of the orthodox men think like this. And people's mindset is changing and its not only with men, many women too think that its better to stay at home than in work.

Briefer? You mean prefer? Not all men do. My wife works and that is great. During the brief time she was a housewife and not working she was miserable and bored and unhappy. Since I'm not at home during the day, why should I care if she is or not and with the double income, that just makes it better.

I think the term all is much more inclusive than reality. There are some men who want to feel in control and therefore do not want their wives to work. These men still believe in the old standards of men controlling their households.

Most families today need two incomes or they cannot keep their homes. Historically men made enough money to support their families and considered their wives to be property. Women fought hard to overcome those unacceptable standards. Now women have their rights and families need both men and women to work to survive.

Take care,
Troy

It is to do with the male ego. No man really likes his wife to work. He wants to protect her and keep her safe and expects her to wait at home for him and take care of their kids and be a housewife. Another aspect is that of fear that his wife wont be loyal to him at another work place where she might meet better men than him where the woman may dump him and the third thing is that he does not wish to see his wife earn more than him. It makes him feel less of a man.. thats the most honest answer i can give u..

A man likes to dominate a relationship, because he is insecure in his life or he don't really understand the meaning of the word "Trust" and without it you have no security in any relationship.Treat me as an equal and the security will follow.Remember that you had a social life before him and you need to continue that, that's important in any relationship.Try to be happy with yourself first before anyone else.

Because nobody like a woman can create a comfort and coziness at home. If a man can do that better? then roles get reversed? and that's not always bad.
