My playstation 3 keeps freezing. I've only just had it for Christmas!! I'm really annoyed about it. I turn it on and not even 5 minutes later it freezes! Anyone got any idea's what I could do before I take it back tomorrow?

It's most likely defective. Also, the ps3 should NOT be placed on a carpet, or in a small area. Make sure to put it in a COOL place where it's on a hard surface and has plenty of room. If you don't, not only will it freeze, but the system will completely be ruined in a matter of a few months.

It has to have at least 10cm around it to "breathe". If it's not the issue - call service. BTW, try an update. You can download it via PC just go to www.playstation.com , choose your country - follow instructions.

No, I have heard that they have been having that issue. I believe it is do to overheating. Make sure it has plenty of air around it. Stand it up on a table.

Disable the Information bar in the top right hand corner of theps3 main menu. .....
