hi i wanna watch a video on my windows media player but it says i need a license and the link to the website for a license is broken is there a way around this?? (windows 2000 =P )

My mom gets so easily offended that it's hard to even talk to her sometimes. For example, some creepy guy she used to work with was giving my sister and I the eye... (the last time he saw us we were very young so it was very gross). Anyway, we kept joking about it later and she got mad and said "I can't do or say anything right." uh... it had nothing to do with her. She worked with the guy YEARS ago and it's not like they're friends. We were just joking around and she flipped. I almost just left... what do you say to that? She stormed off. It's so annoying.. like she's 10.

After my lease expired and I did not renew it. The landlord ask me to sign a new lease at much higher price or vacate the shop within one month. What kind of rights do I have? Currently I am looking for a new shop around and negociating the lease with another owner. But it will take two or three months for me to move the new shop. Does the current lanlord have the rights to force me vacate the shop after give me one month notice? Or I can still stay here until my new shop ready as long as I pay the rent?

Okay, so i really just need to get this out. I guess you could call this somewhat of a rant but its whatev's. I'm a 17 year old girl in high school, and I feel like I am surrounded by people who are more concerned about dumb trivial **** rather than things that actually matter. I understand that this is typical in a high school setting, but its just very frustrating to see people act the way they do. I hate it when people let gossip run their life and have nothing better to do with themselves. There are people our age across the world who are forced to be in the middle of a war who would kill to have the opportunities we do, and all we have to talk about is how drunk we got this weekend or who had sex with who. So many people do not truly appreciate what this country has to offer. The fact that I wake up everyday is enough for me to be thankful for. Although it may be hard to do every day, just try sometimes when you wake up to take in a deep breath and realize you are alive.

i've been in love with my best friend for 6 years. he's really, really shy..and he's never had a girlfriend before. we're both 17 now and senior year is next year, and then we're going separate ways to college. lately, though i'm just as shy and could NEVER think of doing this for real, i've been wanting to tell him. just go up to him and say "i love you" and tell him. he's so awkward and weird about that he'd be soo scared off, but i don't care. now honestly, even if you all tell me to totally do it and he might have the same feelings and we could fall in love or something, i probably won't do it after all anyway. i just need some reassurance that if i do it, it won't ruin both of our lives. and that i won't be making a huge mistake. has anyone ever had to tell their BEST FRIEND they were in love with them?

My mom had a eclipse which she owed 3k more than Kelley Blue Book suggested worth. Anxious to get out from under the car debt, she went to a Nissan dealership yesterday and traded in her eclipse. The purchase has left her in far more of a finanical hardship than she started with. She was very vulnerable and made a terrible mistake...does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this dilemma. I plan to go with her to the dealership tomorrow and beg for them to take it back....but what if they say NO or demand that we pay a high fee?? Thanks

Is it common for rape victims/survivors to always feel like everywhere they go nobody listens or frankly cares about what happened to them? I was repeatedly raped when I was a little kid by a gay pedophile. Since then, literally everyone that I thought could care refuses to deal with it or talk about it. Also, nobody's ever said, I'm sorry that this happened to you. And nobody's ever touched me, held me or tried to reassure me in some way. I've had horrible PTSD for years. Finally I found what seems to be the right therapist for help. These sick people will never change. That's been one of the hardest things to handle (and still is at times). But at a certain point it comes literally down to survival.

Which takes me back to always feeling ignored. No matter what good you do nobody cares. I know now that doesn't matter. But it's not easy to just instantly turn off your feelings.

Is anybody else going thru this? How do you handle this?

Whats with my friend's recent attitude?
So me and this girl have been freinds for like 7 years and we never liked one another just friend thing. After I broke up with my ex she really helped me get over her. Last week we went out along with another couple of friends and I guess I had feelings for her at that night and I flirted a bit and we looked at each other a lot. After that day everything feels different now when i speak to her online. She seems more cold and even now after i got over her she seems to one word answers and not even want to converse really anymore. I asked her if she wanted to go out and chill cuz i was gonna head out anyway she said no thanks i ahve work next day which is normal. Then I ask her if there is anything i did lately to piss her off she said no silly. Then just said bye...i dunno is it just me.. and I KNOW for sure she doesn't like me that way and has a bf too.

Now that HR 2640 has passed both houses, and we await Bush to sign or not to sign the bill, is it good or bad for gun owners? My status of owning a gun is up in the air due to a mental health illness. I passed a preliminary firearms eligibility check and have no criminal record. The ATF will not give me a yes or no. I may end up hiring an attorney. I read both viewpoints of the gun groups. Has anyone been put in this situation and resolved it where they got their rights back?

I bought one of my closest friends a plane ticket in August to attend a wedding. She moved across country last yr and her niece was getting married, we thought it would be a good time for all of us to hang out but she didn't have the $$ for flight. I offered to pay for half but she still has not paid anything.. She has two kids and is single which of course always lends itself to expenses, but I told her I NEEDED it. Now, she rarely is calling, only left a message saying she is depressed and having problems.. Oh, and working overtime! So with the O/T why can she not pay up? Would u all be mad?
