None of the CSU schools (including SFSU) are very good or very selective. My personal opinion is that they aren't worth going to if you ar ea California resident -- and they certainly aren't worth going to if you have to pay out-of-state tuition.

In general, CUNY isn't much better -- though Baruch is probably the most selective of the CUNY schools. It is certainly much better than ANY CSU school.

If you want to go on to law school after college, I would try to go to a better undergraduate school.

San Francisco State University (my mother's Alma mater) is a fine institution. I don't know squat from CUNY Baruch.
SFSU has may great programs, and you can study anything from anthropology to zoology and everything in between. Also, it's in San Francisco (albeit a cold and foggy Southwest corner.)
You don't have to go to college to go to law school. You have to pass the LSAT. To be a lawyer you have to sit for the bar and pass it.
Go to the school that will give you the best well rounded education with exposure to the largest variety of folks.
