Do you think it's ok to boycott movies like The Golden Compass and The Davincci code? Do you think movies like this will raise questions about faith and God with believers? I Believe in God I however do not feel it is right to Boycott the release of movies and books, because I feel Religon it's self causes more people to question God then any movie, expecially fictional ones. I used to go to church faithfully every sunday until I got older and found out how hypocritical people really are I remember people in church telling me that I shouldn't judge people and that a sin is a sin in the eyes of God then in the same breath tell a lady she wasn't welcome in chuch anymore cause her gay son still lived with her. if a sin is a sin and we all sin then what makes us welcome in church and not her? I feel if you dont like the movies message treat it like any other movie and don't watch it why waste time boycotting, How do you feel?

NEVER CHOKE IN A SOUTHERN RESTAURANT Two hillbillies walk into
a restaurant. After ordering their cornbread and beans, they talk
about the latest addition to their junk yard
business.


Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is
eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a
minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress.

One of the hillbillies looks at her and says "Kin
ya swallar?" The woman shakes
her head
no.

"Kin ya breathe?" The woman begins to turn
blue and shakes
her head no.

The hillbilly walks over to the woman,
lifts up the back of her dress, yanks
down her drawers and quickly gives her right
butt cheek a lick with his tongue.

The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the
obstruction flies out of her mouth. As she begins to breathe again, the
hillbilly walks slowly back to the

bar.

His partner says, "Ya know, I'd heerd of
that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver', but I ain't never seed nobody do

Im trying to lose weight - following a healthy diet and have lost 17lbs but now i feel better and healthier i have started exercising - doing sit ups - cycling, walking and shadow boxing - but how can i do this to just burn fat not build muscle - i dont want to gain all the weight i have already lost.

Like Lou Dobbs? I know plenty of racist Anglo males who claim they don't like illegal immigrants from Mexico, and hate Mexican males (even the legal ones). But they date and marry Mexican women? Isn't that a contradiction?

My husband and I are still trying to settle on a baby boy name (just preparing). Of course we were being very silly and coming up with absolutely ridiculous things and somehow got on the subject of naming him some kind of profession (Plumber! Professor! Barista!).

Out of nowhere he says, "Apothecary".

Now, this would *never* be a name we'd actually give a child (it's just ridiculous and can't be shortened into anything even resembling a real name), but the rhythm of the word along with our single-syllable last name sounded fantastic. We searched for other 5 syllable names but goodness, they were frightening (and generally unpronounceable).

We also thought there was a movie or show with a character name Something Something Jones (not Indiana) that had a similar feel but couldn't remember it.

Any suggestions on a (real) boy name with a similar feel, rhythm, or sound to "Apothecary"? Serious names only, please.

I hope we have a girl first because that name was easy!

My father recently passed away. He left my sister and I the house and farm land that our 93 year old grandmother lives in. The house and farm land was appraised at $73,500. There is a mortgage against the property still for $20,500. We are not in a financial position to keep the land and house or to buy the other one out.
According to my father's will we have to offer to sell it to one of his brothers or sisters no more than the appraisal value. In the event that they do not want the property then we cannot sell it until my grandmother passes away.
My aunt and uncle made an offer of $60,000. If my sister and I take the offer will we have to pay taxes on the money we receive ($39,500 after we pay the mortgage off)? I have never been through something like this and I need some advice.

Ive been dating this girl over a year and I want to break up with her but its hard because she tells me she loves me and how depressed she would be if we ever broke up and shes kind of crazy. She cant stand it if I talk to another girl and she cries for hours if anything ever goes wrong. I've told her I dont love her but if i break up with her she would be so sad and depressed and I care about her but I dont want to continue dating and I have no idea what to do or how to break up with her? I might just slowly seperate from her. Ignore her more, dont call her at night, act like im not interested and maybe she will stop liking me and the break up can be much easier and smoother. Also, Im good friends with some of her friends so I dont know what will happen with them because I didnt even know them before we were dating. Any ideas?

I am a middle aged person and have noticed a continuing decrease in friendliness. The people who are the least friendly are the people in the 25-35 age group. I think they are brought up in an suspicious era where people do not trust each other. They in turn will only be friendly to someone they know well or someone who can help them.

My generation is more open to strangers and are more trusting in general. We are more open to small talk with people we do not know. My parents generation is even nicer. They knew their next door neighbors and were open to each other.

Is America getting more unfriendly?
