Like Lou Dobbs? I know plenty of racist Anglo males who claim they don't like illegal immigrants from Mexico, and hate Mexican males (even the legal ones). But they date and marry Mexican women? Isn't that a contradiction?

Ricky T....no there is not a difference. Illegal immigration is not a crime like murder or rape....it is just MIGRATION from one territory to another. Racists here just call it Illegal immigration to make it seem like a huge "Charles Manson" crime. But it's just migration...humans have been doing it for thousands of years.

ProUSA2..I'm just curious because those who say they hate "illegal immigrants" seem to hate ALL Mexicans, LEGAL or illegal. Even the American citizens of Mexican descent.

Being against illegal "immigration" IS NOT Racism! No it's not the same level as a Charles Manson... but that is comparing apples and oranges. But by no means is it racism insisting that it is; is you defending illegal behavior.

Yes, you can call it migration.... People have done it for thousands of years. But when countries are formed with defined borders then they have a right to immigration laws and the right to enforce those laws!

You are certainly on a little biased rant.

You claim you are curious, yet you state that ALL people who dislike illegal immigrants are racist.

EVERY country in the world has borders. One of the biggest reasons for securing borders is to make sure that country knows who, what and why people and materials are coming into that country.

We have the right and responsibility to know and regulate how many people come here, who they are and why they come here.

If we didn't do those things within a few years this country would no longer exist. We would be overrun with people who want something (medical, school, food stamps, housing, WIC, welfare, etc.) and the cost would bankrupt us. After that there would be a mass exodus out of here.

The world's economy depends on a healthy US economy. If we fail the world will suffer. I know that sounds narcissistic, but ask any economist.

There are 3rd and 4th generation Mexican Americans who don't even speak Spanish. They have no ties to Mexico at all. They do not like illegal immigation . That doesn't make them racist either. So, I don't see the contradiction at all. The key word ,as always, is " legal".

Your question is very interesting. It points out the hypocrisy that these racist pigs tend to show. They hate illegal immigrants and yet, everything they wear, eat, or use likely originated at the hands of this people they call "illegals". It's so typical of this people to not accept responsibility for their own actions. They are always looking for someone to blame for their own crap. If these racist idiots had half the work ethic that undocumented folks have, there would be no need for “illegals” to be here to start with.

What you describe isn't racism. Racism is when you hate ALL in a group of certain descent. It's an individual bias maybe but not racism. Most men in the U S are raised differently than men of other countries. So I wouldn't say they hate those men...they just don't understand how they think. You have to admit yourself most men from Latin American countries still have a mind set that Americans from the U S had many years ago. What we now call old fashioned. I'm not saying this is a bad thing it's just hard for some to understand. Machismo is very much alive in other cultures and is hard for people to understand that haven't been raised that way. So comes bias not racism or prejudice.

The fact that you think there is no difference between being against illegal aliens & being a racist says it all.

What about the millions of LEGAL Mexican-Americans who are against illegal immigration? Are they racist, too?

Typical "pro" tactic.

You don't have logic on your side. You don't have the law on your side.

The only thing you have is the race card to throw around.

People have the right to marry whomever they want, no matter what race they are. Lou Dobbs wife is legal, and she so happens to be Mexican.

SO WHAT?

I'm sure she's against illegal alien criminals as well, no matter what race they are, as are most Americans!!!

The word that stands out is RACIST.
==========================
Racist as a Noun
1.Racist - a person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others,racialist, bigot - a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own
Racist as an Adjective
1.Racist - based on racial intolerance; racial - of or characteristic of race or races or arising from differences among groups; "racial differences"; "racial discrimination"
2.Racist - discriminatory especially on the basis of race or religion.anti-semite, antiblack,discriminatory, prejudiced - being biased or having a belief or attitude formed beforehand; "a prejudiced judge"
===============================
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, racism is a belief or ideology that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially to distinguish it as being either superior or inferior to another race or races. The Merriam-Webster's Webster's Dictionary defines racism as a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race, and that it is also the prejudice based on such a belief.[1] The Macquarie Dictionary defines racism thus: the belief that human races have distinctive characteristics which determine their respective cultures, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule or dominate others.
====================================
These people are objecting against illegal immigration, like you said. Being married to legal ones, or children of legal immigrants is a sure sign that these very same people are NOT racists.

There's a huge difference between being against crime (illegal immigration), and being racist.

No contradiction unless his wife is an illegal immigrant.

So many people who are pro-illegal immigration but there's no real reason to support criminals, so they play the race card instead.

How does being against ILLEGAL ALIENS make someone a racist??

An illegal alien is NOT a race.

MY WIFE is an immigrant, as is most of her family. They are all against illegal aliens as well.

Americans of all races are against illegal aliens. And illegal aliens from 180 countries were deported last year...so obviously it's not a "race" issue.
