You are very close to the Jewish belief in what you say. It's not that you are infinite now, but have the ability to draw on the infinite.
Let's use the analogy of an hourglass. With you on the bottom, the infinite consciousness (G-d) on the top, and the narrow part the little bit you are able to conceive.
When you draw whatever it is in the middle part into your consciousness and do something with it, then the next little part is accessible. Then you can draw what's above down below into your life.
As you make use of the things you have drawn from above, the vessel to receive it on the bottom expands. We are taught that whatever is needed for your life is available for you if you seek it out.
As you continue this cycle of drawing, doing, drawing, doing, you can gain a very large consciousness for those things that you need to do. And having access to an infinite consciousness is very similar to having it.
Your question might be the first grain to come from the infinite. Now it's up to you to stir up yourself to do and search for some more.

A little math problem to start, ha ha
The factorial of a number is that number, for example 10 factorial, written 10! which is 10 x 9 x 8 x 7 x6 x5 x4 x3 x2 x1 or 10! is 3,628,800 Factorial is a whole number n times (n-1) times (n-2) and so on uintil you get down to 1. [n-(n-1)]
If you now have infinite consciousness you instantly know the correct answer to 6453538236! to the 825342362928 th power.
E-mail me when you get the answer; but I won't hold my breath ! Ha ha
Our helper angels here are all math geniuses and know the answer to my little math problem almost instantly, but they all admit that they each and all also are only of a finite consciousness ! And these junior angels also easily travel around at three times the speed of light ! Middle level angels go about 50,000 times the speed of light (50,000C)
and the highest angels and other high Beings travel at infinite velocity and some also can go "instanter". (probably meaning arriving before you leave!) And all of those high beings are still very much finite in consciousness.
Now we must consider something higher: "Super-consciousness" which we also have here now just a little bit.
Being somewhat personality, spiritually and soul Aware of being intellectually aware here.
There are also higher levels of Ultimate- and Absolute-consciousness that have no names here yet ..and they all are still INFINITELY SHORT OF INFINITE CONSCIOUSNESS OF I AM Omniscient (ALL-Knowing and much more)
One more thought: Those who have "infinite consciousness" do not have to ask questions to other finite humans here ! [Unless they use the very good technique of Jesus and others of teaching by asking good questions. (that they fully, or well, know the answers)]

Finite consciousness is to see things around and about, within and without the self. Infinite is to see the world with a god like eye. Ascended souls look upon the world and see the common thread that runs and binds us all. How the domestic social national and global situation runs on a paralell. Finite consciousness sees only the stark reality of its immediate surroundings, rather than the great magnitude of the whole world contained within one entity.

Infinite is not Eternal eg: 2/3 = 0.666... to infinity of "nothing" yet, and even 99/100 is still infintely nothing yet. Bible eg: thine iniquities are infinite: Job 22:5 What infinite consciousness people are is f-lawed.

consciousness is existence ,they are the same thing, existence is eternal so yes consciousness is infinite as it has no beginning and no end, it is just pure being
