Hi,

No you don't. I don't know how much you know about computers. But motherboard itself does not produce too much hit. The biggest contributer to hit released in your box is the CPU even so most system are pretty stable and works with regular stock hit sink/fan. The only time you really want to use water cooling is when you do overclocking where you system might become unstable and need advanced cooling.
If you never build water cooling system I woudn't recommend. Plus the cost of the good water cooling system might as much as you spend on the rest of the system.

Cheers, DS

Your link doesn't work.

Water cooling is never compulsory. Every current PC should work with the regular fan/heatsink assembly.

Water cooling was created for machines that thrashed every component to death - 3D rendering, gaming, video editing, overclocked PCs. It's destined to cool as many components in the box as possible, as quietly as possible, to as low a temperature as possible: the CPU, the graphics card, the sound card. If you intend to push the limits of your machine, then you may want to get a water cooling system, but it's not necessary for a majority of PC users out there.

If you're not running water do not buy that board. If motherboards dont generate heat like one "expert" says perhaps he can explain why some boards like this one are covered with heatsinks which, on this board, are designed to be cooled by water. Big overclocking boards generate lots of heat. This is a special board designed for those who run water and want to overclock not only the cpu and graphics card but tweak the chipsets on the motherboard itself and if you have no plans of doing that, this is not the board for you.
Go with the aircooled Maximus Formula version instead.

most likely to be optional, very rarely would you need water cooling unless youve got very very bad ventilation in a very very hot room
