I have an electrical problem:

I find that the tube light in my room does not switch on (it keeps flickering) in the evenings. This happens usually in the period 6-9pm. The rest of the time it acts perfectly fine. What might be the problem? It cannot be due to excess loading from my house since even though I switch off all other lights in my house this still continues to flicker. Repeatedly switching on and off does not help either..

How may I overcome this.? I'm curious to know what exactly is happening...

my 3 year old little girl became a devil child. About a year ago I stopped working to be at home with her and in aug I went back to work. She has been staying with my sister in law while I work. Lately she has been trying to hit me spit at me and she yells at me. She won't listen at all. I don't want to keep yelling at her and punishing her but I don't know what else to do to get her to be my little girl again. She use to be so polite and fun now she is a terror so is this just how a 3 year old acts or do I need to find a toddler boot camp? Please help me on what to do with her

Conservatives think it's some kind of scandal that Oprah might be endorsing Obama because he's black. I think it would be a scandal if she DIDN'T endorse Obama because he's black.

He's the first one of African-Americans to have a real shot at the Presidency of the country that brought them over here as slaves and mistreated and discriminated against them ever since. That would be a pretty major accomplishment.

My husband and I have been together for three yrs and being married for 1yr and half we have 7months old baby. He is 30 I’m22.My husband doesn’t like me going out with my girl friends and when I say go out I don’t mean clubbing but I mean just girly things like shopping getting hair, nails, and body messages. I take care of my self I like to look good regardless where I go even at home. However, every time I go shopping or getting y hair or nails done my husband complains about me taking too long. He even complains when his friends come over and say that I’m hot he says that I dress to sexy and ask me if like one of his friends I told you the only one for me and that I never gave you reason to be this way. At first I though it was about me but now that I make a very good money I found out is not about money but he just likes me to stay home around the clock, I even pay someone to baby sit our babe while I do whatever I have to do so he could do whatever he likes.

Whenever I sit down to play the piano, I instantly get the hiccups! I don't even have to start playing! I just sit down, and hiccup! Is there something that causes this to happen on a daily basis or something???

My boss is SOMETIMES a nice lady. She has some mood swings, and she becomes petulant at the drop of a hat. She is a little condescending during those times. She is demanding and disrespectful, IMO, during those times.

Keep in mind, I want to keep this job. What can I say that will not result in me getting fired? I mean, whenever my boss is in an ill mood and is ill-treating me, what should I say? I want to sound mature, intelligent, to the point, professional, and direct. I do not want to be offensive, defensive, nor aggressive. I just simply want to be calm and assertive.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

The goal is to be respected. I show respect to my boss, and I expect the same in return. But I also know that you cannot demand respect- you COMMAND respect.

Thank you for your insights.

PS- if it has any bearing, I am a paralegal, and my boss is an attorney. Also, our office is small. There are only four of us here total.

I don't know. I don't think it can ever be called just but sometimes it is necessary. A necessary evil. However, I don't really think that the war we're in right now is necessary, but I'm just talking about war in general.

I've just had a Christmas card from my fiance, Malcolm (aka Crispy) and it was the bottom one of a box of value cards from Woolworths. It was the one that you always give the person you like the least - with a picture of the Bible and a candle.

I am so upset. I wanted one of those ones that come in boxes from Clintons saying "To the one I love etc...".

Should I consider the relationship over? What do you kind people think?

I've heard bad rumors about them, even though I'm a very open minded guy, I'd never be prejudice. It's just that.. we come from totally different worlds, you know? Has anyone fallen for a korean girl before? What is it like? @_@

What do you do if you see a woman checking your guy out?

Like being flirtatious, when she knows that his gf is BESIDE him? Initially i was flattered, and i would say to myself, 'Stare all you want, he's going home with me tonight' and i would give her a smirk.

My guy is good-looking and he's a friendly person, he would say hi to anyone who knows him.

But however confident i am, i can't deny i still feel insecure and a teeny weeny jealous! How do you ladies get through this? :)

My husband has a friendship with this girl and its come to the point thats its detrimental to our marriage. We've been together for 3yrs married for 2 1/2. We have a toddler. He's know this girl for less than year.

I told him he needs to stop being around her until we can get our marriage back on track. He flat out refuses to stop being around her. He's not cheating with her but has fantasies about it. She's a lesbian with significant other.

I want him to choose between his friendship with her(at least temporarily) and our marriage. I won't sit around why he disrespects me and ignores my feelings.

He says that I'm being ridiculous and shouldn't make him choose because he has "the willpower not to do anything with her".

Am I being unreasonable????

James 1:25-27

25 But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.
26 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless.
27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

If thats what religion is in the Christian sense, Where did people get their view of religion from?
