When sleeping on your stomach becomes uncomfortable is what my doctor told me. And it did when I was about 16 weeks pregnant.

I did straight away when I found out that I'm pregnant, because I was worried of hurting the baby! the first few nights were hard as I was used to sleep on my stomach and I couldn't find a comfortable position but I found that lying on my left side was ok and thats the way I have been sleeping now for months..

Whenever it is uncomfortable for you. With my first I loved sleeping on my stomach, and even up until about 7 months I would sort of sleep half on my side, half on my stomach - sort of leaned over. With my second I wouldstart out on my side and always wake up and find myself trying to roll onto my stomach. lol The best position for the baby, once you are a little further along, is you laying on your left side, but I know as much as I would try that I couldn't always get comfortable.

I too am I stomach sleeper. You don't need to stop until you can't do it comfortably any more. Once that happens get lots of pillows to stack around you to give you the feel of sleeping on your stomach.

When your pregnant it will be hard to be comfortable. You will know when you can't sleep on your stomach it'll either be to hard, painful, uncomfortable.
