Hi, I have a Canon PowerShot A570 IS. Recently I've been playing around with some of the different settings, and have figured out some cool stuff to do with slowing the shutter speed, however I still don't understand the aperture setting. What is the effect on the picture from increasing or decreasing the aperture? When should I use a high aperture, and when should I use a low one? Also, anybody with a similar camera (or familiar with this one), what other interesting stuff can I do besides "time lapse" type photos and messing with the aperture? I need some inspiration and information on how to do it...thanks!

I just want to know if my college GPA will be reset from my high school GPA.. in other words, if my college GPA is independent from my high school GPA? My worry comes because i fooled around in high school and basically from a 4.1 it went down to a 2.8. And since i'm starting all over in college i don't want my high school GPA to affect my college GPA because then well, im screwed ='(

when i first moved to texas there was a huge pond in the woods of the apartment stocked with a huge 5 foot catfish and a huge F****N blue carp and japanese carp ive tried to catch them before but it wouldnt work everytime i cast my line they get scared and go away.what bait should i use .would 17lbs pound spider wire line work or should i use 30lb?should i use a floater or a weight? plese help me

I think its pretty obvious that this is my situation. My friend and I catch him staring/looking across class or from far away, yet at as he comes closer, he acts like im invisible. And he sometimes talks about me/teases me to OTHER people in class, yet he's never said 1 word to me. Any insight into this conundrum would help a lot. =]

I read Phillip Pullmans His Dark Materials trilogy and I'm christian I didn't know when I bought the book that he was atheist. Obviously while reading it I discovered that it was. It didn't change my faith but it did open a lot of 'What if?' questions. It opened me to different veiwpoints.
My question is why do christians hate it so much? I mean all it did was make me think outside the box. To think beyond the information given in any media. Which nowadays seems a little un-christianlike.
It just makes me feel like most christians don't believe in their faith enough to watch a movie or read a book that doesn't have their veiwpoints...so I watched the movie or read the book and now it magically converted me to non-belief!
By the way I was eleven when I read them. Pease don't be harsh I'm only asking a question not bashing my own faith.

I've been so busy these past months.. I dont have time for God, time for family, time for social events..its like I've been severed from reality and society. I didnt even know it until now. I just dont want life to pass me by.

I always chose to work instead of play. I feel addicted and its ******* up my life. I analyze everything like it is a school assignment.. i just cant let it flow.. i always have to`ask why and I end up taking a different direction compared to everyone else, making me go against the mainstream. I'm am addicted. Just like crack addicts just stay home and smoke that ****, I stay home do work. I dont have any other part of my life than that. I left Maryland with unresolved problems. I should have stayed and resolved the problems before leaving but i didnt because all i could think about was going to college.. Yes im doing well, im top 10% but thats all i have....I can't find the balance. I go out and I start freaking out because i think i should be home work
