I think its pretty obvious that this is my situation. My friend and I catch him staring/looking across class or from far away, yet at as he comes closer, he acts like im invisible. And he sometimes talks about me/teases me to OTHER people in class, yet he's never said 1 word to me. Any insight into this conundrum would help a lot. =]

It's like that for me, cause if the girl catches me, then they can't do anything from afar. Not gonna yell across the class during a lecture, are you?

well i think he might has a crush on you and he's really shy. Meaning when he's at a distance from you where he think you might not be paying attention to him, he's going to stare and admire you. But when he's close he doesn't want you to see him starring at you because he's shy, so he tries to not look at you.
