He was needed at a critical point in history...
Thank about what FDR, Truman, Abe Lincoln all went through...certainly they lost more human lives under there presidency...but were needed to carry the country through.
In fact more people died in 30 days on Iwo Jima then in Iraq in three years.
George Bush will be vindicated...
The War in Iraq is nothing compared to what is going to happen in the next 50 years.
This extremist threat is bigger than anyone realize

I don't hate Bush because hate is a very strong word. I strongly disagree with all he thinks about what is right. I never wanted him as President because I did not vote for him the two times. But, I am happy that he will not the President of the United States coming January 2009.

Luv and hate are, in my opinion , not the proper adjectives to describe the feelings for this president. Even though I don't think he's doing a good job, grossly underqualifed seeps into my mind. I give him an A for trying, but he just doesn't have what it takes for the job, and he continues to prove it almost every day. There IS one area I would give him a high rating however, and that is that he is the best friend a democrat ever had as I'm sure he's swayed a lot of 'on the fence' voters over to the democratic side, and it will most likely lead to our next president being a democrat, unless they find some way to negate the presidents valiant efforts to make it easy for them.

Hate, definitely. The world is too dynamic and complex to entrust anything more important than a filling station to a goober, or in Bush's case, a goober wannabe. The good ol' boy act is just that, an act he learned to convince the police to let him go. Sorry Ray... Ray? What happened to Ray? Did YA zap the guy above me? Hmmm...

I hate 'im. Pointless war, a bad economy, terrible foreign relations, blundering the response to hurricane Katrina, trying to sell American ports to an Arab country, not trying to regulate outsourcing, vetoing SCHIPS, advocating amnesty to illegal aliens, not cracking down on dangerous imports, and too many other things to list. Really, what has the man done that's worth supporting? I can't think of anything. One of history's worst presidents.

I strongly dislike him too, as an above answerer eloquently put it.
He has strayed so far away from traditional conservatism, and raised his executive privileges to unthinkable levels.
I can't condone that, even if we do have a war going on...

I respect Mr. Bush. He is a leader and he has acted in the best interest of our country, in my opinion.
I don't agree with everything that he does. I have a hard time stomaching the fact that he wanted to grant AMNESTY. I don't know about the American economy. I can't stand the thought of gas prices rising any higher.
I do believe that he is a man of INTEGRITY. That is HUGE, in my opinion. I believe that he has his act together and is trying to do his job to the best of his ability. I believe that he loves America and that he loves Americans. He tries to do what is good and what is right. He is trying to protect America. It's his first and foremost responsibility. I look at it like this. He is our "Father", the father of our country and above all, it is his responsibility to keep our country secure.
I feel that more needs to be done to keep our troops safe and that more needs to be done to keep illegals out and off the system, but I think that he is doing all he can to accomplish all of these tasks.

Neither; he is not the best President we've ever had (Regan was) and he's certainly not the worst we've ever had (Carter is). He's a president that had to deal with a war on terror pushed unto him and has tried hard to make things right, despite having been demeanored and demonized by everyone, from the liberal left to the media to even the congress.
He is not perfect, but he has done the best he could given the difficulties he was presented with.
