My wife got upset with me when I told he that I had some concerns with a friend I felt was being dishonest. The story is that her and her friend(s) enjoyed a lady's night out and stopped at a forbidden hot spot. Not forbidden by myself but her friends husband. I was asked not to say a word of this to the husband during a rare couples night out. Afterwards I expressed to my wife that I felt very uncomfortable to be asked to keep quite and asked my wife not to let her friends dishonesty traits rub off on her. My wife's reaction further concerned me. She defended her friend in such a way it lead to an arguement and felt as if she was on trial. No trial, just me expresing my concern. I have no reason not to trust my wife, but now if she is out with a dishonest friend I would not feel the same.

I do not like this feeling and talking to her about it got us no where. Should I pursue this further? Should I trust her when in this company?

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

"The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the "eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41), unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church." - Pope Eugene IV, Cantate Domino (1441)

I am asking these questions on behalf of my 75 year old Mother, who recently had an ischemic stroke in April and from the affects of the stroke my mother is no longer able to blink only from her (R) eye. Her eye seems to be painful and is receiving eye drops to help with dry eye.

She was seen by an optometrist in the fall and was informed that she has a cataract in that same eye (R).

She suffers with daily blurred vision and is fearful that she will lose her eyesight if she watches television, only because it seems to bother her.

If there is away that you could put her mind at ease and reassure her that this would not happen I feel that she would perhaps be more settling.

Can you suggest something for her in away of comfort and let us know if it would be essential to cover her eye with a patch?

My mother is a resident in a nursing home since her stroke and perhaps there is more they can do for her.

Sincerely,
Rose

The implementation of the REAL ID ACT( federal id system containing radio frequency identification chips similar to the new passport system) and the increased accessibility to information will cause outrage in this country.

After failing to pass in the house of reps. in early 2005, the REAL ID ACT bill was tacked onto the war on terror and tsunami relief legistlation. Because 100% of private income tax goes towards paying off our national debt of the federal reserve banking system, $82 Billion in subsidized taxation will be re-allocated in the form of $23.1 Billion over 10 years to pay for uncle sam's big weapon.

In 2009, if you live or work in the USA, you'll need this federally approved id card to travel by plane, boat, drive a car, open an account, collect social security, or benefit from any government service.

The authoritarian implications for this monstrous social reformation must be in the public scope now! Once people become aware of this reality, will they revolt?

Just to give you a better picture, we're both 16. I was always good friends with her. But I always felt like I had to hide the fact that I drink or smoke or anything that had to do with that sort of stuff. I always thought she was a good girl, and that she would think differently of me. About a week ago I found out that she drank, and all of the sudden that changed everything. Like that small little fact changed my whole view of her. Now I talk to her every single day online and I tell her everything. And I've never actually told her I loved her (family love folks, nothing weird) until after she told me that. But for some reason I feel uneasy. I don't know if maybe I'm just mad at myself for letting something so small as whether you drink or not affect our relationship for the last few years. Or maybe I'm just so overwhelmed with the transition between distant relative to close friend. Can someone help me with my confusion??

Huckabee has reached 17% in the national polls, 2nd place overall, and is now winning Iowa. He is no longer the unknown candidate, he will soon face serious scrutiny, and will need to be strong to carry his (potential) win in Iowa further, due to the lack of organization.

My question is, what problems does he face as a candidate for the nomination?

I feel that the most defining challenge will be whether or not his evangelical followers will be a base to grow from, or a ceiling. Will he be able to format his strong values to appeal to more diverse people?

This is intended for serious debate among Huck supporters or intelligent contributors.

Seriously... that would be incredibly childish.

Atheists aren't in "denial" of your god. Atheists aren't "rebelling" against your god. We just don't believe in your god. The vast majority of us never had any kind of "event", we just grew out of it.

? OR A RELIGIOUS BIGOT - CHRISTIAN OR OTHERS?

"Be still, and know that I AM God (and you're not!)

Truly, salvation comes by the soul leaving behind the refuge of the intellect and imagination.

Leaving behind the bedlam of suggestion where knowledge lies, you are drawn up and out of the machinery of your mind to an objective state of consciousness to "Under - stand" God (that is, to stand under God's Truth and His holy Spirit teaching and revelation)
REALIZATION acts as a counter-influence to suggestion and deception
REALIZATION( REVELATION OR ENLIGHTENMENT) SAVES!

Are you humble enough to put aside your Pride and Intellect?
Are you ready to face the Truth and feel the pain it'll bring to your ego?
Are you sure you can for-go the (false) pleasures that the lies brings to assuage you prideful ego ?

What say you all egotists out there?

Two weeks into this relationship he started pressuring her to say 'I love you' & when she wouldn't he got mad. They talked about it & she thought he understood that she wasn't ready yet.A week later he brought it up again. When she still couldn't say it he broke up with her by calling, saying 'it's over', and hanging up.Five minutes later (literally) he called back & said 'scratch that; we're still together'.Then he called again & broke up with her. He went back & forth between dating her & not for 30 min. over the phone. Then they 'worked everyting out'.Less than a week after, he changed his facebook status to single. She saw it & freaked out.He called several hours later & told her it was over. She said she loved him in order to keep him (she admitted that). Then, they decided to talk the next day about it.They did & decided to end it.Several hours later they talked again & she took him back.He came over 30 min. later & said he couldn't be with her.She begged him to stay with her & he did.

I have a rice cooker which I had to partially take apart so I could clean it and allow it to dry out after putting a cup of water into it (it wasn't on when I did this) . I accidentally unplugged 2 wires (one black and one white) when I was taking it apart. I have identified where they need to go, but I am not sure which order to plug them in. One of the connectors has an L symbol next to the connector and the other has a N symbol. I think I need to plug the white cable into the N, and the black cable into the L. I am a little uncertain if I have them plugged in, so I haven't tried the rice cooker yet.

A firefighter who reported finding a knotted rope and a threatening note with a drawing of a noose in an East Baltimore station house last month had placed the items there himself, city officials said yesterday.

The man was suspended last week for performance-related issues and will likely face additional punishment, fire officials said. Sterling Clifford, a spokesman for the Police Department and for Mayor Sheila Dixon, said the man admitted to the hoax and will not face criminal charges.

This is a outrage. There are enough legitament racial problems in this country already. People like this make me absolutely sick. Remember the sudden appearances of nooses all over the country after the "Jena Six" case? How many of these were staged and how many of these were legit?

I am looking for two small-medium size trees for my backyard. I would like something that is not too big in height (possibly around 20' tall, and 10' wide at most). I was considering Flowering Plum trees, but am told they are messy. This is a south facing yard, and they will be in full sun. Any good trees I should consider?
