The Big Bang: I believe in science.
I also believe in God.
I find that organized religion is a means of controlling people. Religion, with it's books and ideology, are ever changing.
If you believe the earth was created four thousand years ago, spontaneously, by God, you are taking words out of a book written by mortals and taking them literally; brought to you by the same institution that only a few hundred years ago completely supported slavery, spousal abuse, etc. The church (and the Bible) change with what is acceptable at the time, whether people care to take note or not.
It is interesting to note that in the 1950s the Vatican obliquely acknowledged the significance of the Big Bang, including it's implications in terms of the actual age of the earth, calling the background microwave radiation that supported the theory "God's fingerprints", and hired a small, full time staff of scientists to keep them up to date on the physical world. This seems to be overlooked by the hoards of people, in the United States at least, who will still get into a fist fight with you over the planet being a mere four thousand years old.
So the world? Created by God. No doubt about it. And by the Big Bang? You bet.

You've only given two alternatives there. Both of them are just theories thought up by some guy somewhere and held to be true by a lot of people. I like the big bang theory more just because scientists will admit that they may very well be wrong about it and have no real idea what happened. If you say god, it could refer to any number of gods that are worshiped today or were worshiped in the past, and everyone who tells you it's their god will quote their holy book as absolute proof.
there are no facts showing how Earth was made- your guess is as good as anyone's :)

Our planet Earth was not made in the big bang. Mass was produced in the first microsecond of the big bang as energy seperated from matter.
Our world was born from the accumulation of matter in our sun's accretion disk 4.55 billion years ago (more than 9 billion years after the big bang).

Why can't it be both?
There's nothing that says the 2 cannot coexist. Well, some people say they cannot, but they are people who have let themselves become dogmatic about a book written by men. I believe the Big Bang theory is a fine working model of the creation of the universe and I believe God is the driving force behind creation. God is all powerful, right? So what's the problem with believing both.

Well, if your talking about this world, it was not made in the big bang..maybe a few of billion years after (6-8billion?)..
I think it was made in the particles that surrounded a protostar...as the star formed , the gravitational fields around the star became more stable and the particles formed rings that rotated around the young star, constantly coliding with each other to form planets. the whole process took about 4.5 billion years.
Just a guess...
Or it could be that Zeus and the Titans created it..who knows?
I tend to follow scientific evidence since it appears to make logical sense to me, but people will believe what they want...as long as they let me believe what I want, then I don't care!

People put to much trust in science, scientist come off as being smart people, So we should believe them. No, believe what you choose. I cant prove science wrong, nor can they prove god is not the creator... God that's my answer.
