i cant get over this fear i have of throwing up in public..like at school i dont eat at lunch because im afraid im gonna throw up the food i ate. im not afraid of the actual puking its self, i just dont want to puke in public. like whenever im in a room by a bathroom i feel fine so clearly its all in my head but i still have this fear. my throat gets all full and i cant swallow easily. im scared to go out anywhere if i've eaten that day because i dont want to throw up! i carry around a little paper bag with me in case i do...but i need help. any suggestions?

My boyfriends ghetto mom is having a in-between the holiday party. The rest of his family is a bunch of loud foul mouth slobs. The normal menu would be a few hots (ham; roast beef etc) and some sides (salads etc). His mom wants to get ONLY PIZZA for this holiday get together and I'm not travel and spending a whole day around these pigs for pizza. I told her I would come up with a menu idea for her, except now I'm completely clueless on what to make for these people. Finger sandwiches???!! b/c I'm sure she won't have a enough seats. A friends house was searched several months ago and 2 felony charges resulted; possession of cntrlled substnc and possession precursor with intent to manufacture. Thats not what was going on...they found a few old baggie corners and an old container they said contained a precursor. His lawyer filed a motion for discovery, but they are unable to produce any lab reports or evidence. Will these charges be dropped or will case procede?

What do you all think about abolishing the tax code as it stands now, and implementing a Federal tax on purchases, all purchases. This can be added to the state tax you pay at the counter. Then it would be a fair tax across the board. You buy, you pay tax. The more you spend, the more you pay. Eliminates the write off's the rich use to avoid taxes.

I have been looking at the leaderboards on this site and during this extensive research (10 minutes!) i noticed people are answering like hundreds of questions a week (over worked agony aunts??).
Surely it is not possible to give genuinely helpful and relevant answers on a consistent basis to all those questions.
The idea of asking a question is because you want some help or advice (and a laugh), But if people give just one or two word answers (when the question doesn't warrant it) all the time, then that is often not helpful and they are missing the point of this site- Yes points are great, but they're worth a lot more if you earn them for genuinely helping (surely?)

You know who you are (mr/mrs just in it for the points) Can you give me a star please?!

VERY long story. My friend's husband asked for a divorce in July. She was shocked but wanting to keep it as clean as possible she let her son go stay with him in Germany where they were stationed at the time while she tried to get things together back "home" here in TX. The agreement was that in DEC her son be brought back to the states to reside with her. Now her husband is threatening not to bring her child back. We have no Idea what to do next. She wasn't actually SERVED with divorce papers but has seen a rough draft of his intentions.
The story is even more complex than I can write- but to sum it up, her husband left her here without a car, job, home or dime. And every lawyer wants 3000 up front to take her case.
