I am thinking of asking for a mac laptop for christmas and I was wondering if 60gb was alot.

lol, theyre saying its not..
but it really is, u can get bigger, but thats still big
60g is enough to hold like 5 2 hour movies 1000 pictures and about 3000 songs.. i doubt u can name that many songs if u had 2 days to think about it neways.. trust me, 60g is pleanty

Depends on what you want to use the computer for. If it is just for email and word processing that is plenty of room. If however you want to download pictures, movies, music, ect you may run out of space quickly. First determine what you want to do then find a drive that will accomodate your needs.

These days no....with all the music downloading and movie downloading and internet crap 60 gig can fill up fast....

if possible go for more but if you had to get it it should be ok...

That is a decent size, unless you plan on creating videos or large graphic files on your laptop.

60G is small at the moment, you should ask for 160G or above with 2G of RAM.
