WE enjoy the jokes, it is better to laugh than to have a pity party. Go back and read, there is other information available as well.

As said, I don't get audio on youtube, but I can read the other answers and get the gest of the question in most cases. I have always strived to be a good citizen in all communities, ever watchful of the rules, no matter how ignorant many of them are. I only give thumbs down to cruel, vulgar, or obscene answers, for any response given i, as long as it states an opinion, is or could be educational or instructive, and is at least an opinion. Yet I have recieved thumbs down for stating my opinion, when the poster ahead or behind me didn't and responded in like manner, with nearly the same words and in the same tone. Go figure. edit: When and if I go to voting, I seldom vote for my answer, unless all the others are ignorance, vulgar, obscene, rants or insulting.

You answered it yourself...we appreciate jokes as well. Whether you think the jokes are funny or not is strictly a personal opinion. We do have a lot of life experience and wisdom that we share, but we're not here as guru's ....if you want the wisdom, ask the question and we'll be there for you!

The jokes are a pass time in between the seriousness and sharing of wise teachings. Only ask the question and they will become as serious as need be for you or anyone who asks. May I suggest your next question to them be something along the lines of politeness and how to have compassion for those who are trying to spread good cheer?

Maybe we're just tired, and old and down in the gutter, and we would like to have a laugh. And just maybe we don't feel responsible to tell you all our past history. how much are you paying per hour? And maybe we just don't even want to remember our past history. And maybe some of us are not even smart.
Just cause you get old doesn't make you wise. I was only wise for the
first 8 years of my life.

I gave you a star. Interesting question and it seems you got a lot of interesting answers too. Laughter is the best medicine as Reader's Digest has been telling people all over forever it seems. It is good for everyone, Young and Old

I think seniors have the best sense of humor of anyone. We've seen so much and been through so much, that we learned long ago that if we can't laugh at ourselves, we're doomed.
Well, we're probably doomed anyway, so isn't it better to go out laughing than screaming?

Ya it is kinda mean, but I don't think they mind. Since they have so much life experience, I think most seniors have come to a point of self exceptance where they can laugh at themselves.
Example: I was at Hallmark the other day. An elderly lady standing next to me farted.... she started giggling, pointed to her husband, and said "it was him." I laughed for ages!

We love to share good times and good jokes. You have no idea what we think about and never will with your attitude.
