Go to the doctor's office and get it checked. Don't guess.

My son who is four now has had that same type of lump and sometimes it really sticks out, it really worried me. I took him to the Dr. when he was really young and the dr told me it was just a lymph node and that particular one happens to sit on top of a muscle that is why it sticks out, also when they have a little cold or their body is trying to fight off a virus it sticks out more than usual.
I don't know if your son has any health problems so I can't say this is what it is, so I would have it checked just to be on the safe side.

There are lymph nodes there, just to be safe I would call your primary doctor and either talk to him, or set up an appointment. Here is a link showing the location of lymph nodes.

I'd take him to the doctor just to be sure. A lump can be an indication of a lot of different things.

yes there is. but if you are worried take him the doctor and he can tell you where all the nodes are , if they seem swollen he may have a cold or something.
