It's between dove- and duck-sized, has a light gray body and dark gray feathers, and a brown head. It's feathers stick out behind its body, and end in a point. Someone said that it might be a quail, but it doesn't have that familiar little doo-hickey on its head. We live in Illinois. On top of that, it's been sitting in the same spot for a while, occasionally bending down to peck at the ground.

It seems like the number one reason they come here is to wait for theistic questions to pounce on with flippant answers such as:

"There is no god!"
"All religion is just a myth!"
"Prove there's a god!"
"Religion is the reason for all violence!"
"There's no proof God exists therefore there is no god!"
"Since there is no God your question is irrelevant!"
etc...

...or sometimes it's just a snide abusive insult crafted to gain attention and acceptance from trolls like themselves.

Why else do atheists come to a religion & spirituality forum?

Answer while you can because this will surely be reported by whiners.

are we going to accept this and don't do anything to change such a harmful fact about our politicians?
isn't it childish to point at IE; Clinton, etc and that since he lied then it is OK if IE; Bush lies too, etc?!!

I was wondering if it is possible to get medically discharged for my flat feet because I have been gritting my teeth with this pain for a while now, through basic and infantry AIT and now its to the point that I have not ran or done anything strenuous in over a month and it kills me to just walk. I have not seen the doctor yet, I plan to see the doctor tomorrow but will they discharge me for it because I do not wish to stay if this problem is just going to get worse, I have already tried arch supports and they just make the pain worse so I don't use it.

My dad is hesitant to pay the fee, just incase I stop working or don't make or exceed the amount he paid. Money is not the issue at all, its just the fact that he doesn't want to spend it. I am currently SAG eligable. So if I go into an audition, will I have a less chance of getting a role then a kid who is a SAG member?

I feel I'm evil..
The god delusion challenge me that I'm arrogance ..

This morning Colborne/York Street London Ontario it was pretty close to an hour with trains back and forth and then one just sat still. I think it is totally disgusting in a big city like London with all the other detours - the stinkhole, I mean sinkhole etc., that trains are allowed to do this. I know they have a job to do, but people have to get to work too. This city needs a BIG, BIG shake up - AND SOON!!

Yesterday, my 14-year old sent me a text message, asking if she and her friend could trim my youngest daughter's (5 yrs) bangs. I texted back: TRIM only. DO NOT cut her hair.

Now, a little history, this summer she and her friend cut their own hair, my middle daughter's and youngest daughter's hair. Cut it SHORT. It has taken months for my middle daughter's hair to reach the top of her shoulders.

I came home, and my middle daughter (7 yrs) is in tears because they cut her hair and are calling her coconut head. I think it was supposed to be the short in the back, tapering longer to the face, but they cut WAY too much off. I'm going to have to take her somewhere for it to be fixed the best they can.

Anyway, I decided that for her punishment (the 14 year old), I was going to have her hair cut the exact same way.

My mother says too harsh? What do you think?
