There was some Dr. on the "Today Show", stating this, also. He said to NOT use these in ur ears, and to let the wax build up- YUCK- No way- I'll go with the Q-Tips and take my chances. I have some special Q-Tips for my little guy. They are shaped to be x-tra safe. SO, either way, I'm not going to have waxy, disgusting ears- FORGET THAT! I'll use them, thank you very much. Don't know why they say this. Here are some sites that might explain what to use.
Take care and have a good week-end!

they are supposed to be used to clean the outside of your ear..never stick them in the actual ear canal. sticking a q-tip inside your ear, can cause hearing damage, by compacting ear wax.

You can use them in the ear but just be careful not to push earwax down in the ear with them. Play it safe and everything will be alright.

That's just a warning for liability reasons. You really are supposed to stick them in your ear.

Been using them everyday of my life and have yet to have a problem from doing so......so as for me, theres not a thing wrong with it aslong as you don't go to deep. I use peroxide for the deep cleaning and it works great....so there you have it from Dr. Scott lol, oh yeah, that would be me although i'm not really a Dr.

Pull off the fluffy ends, dye them pink, attach them all together, put them in a plastic bucket, go to your little brother and say, "Want some candyfloss?"

You can use them in your, just not the ear canal. You can also use them to put ointment on a baby's butt if you don't want to touch a poopy area.
