I have an old wooden trunk/chest which was horribly varnished, it has since been sanded down but unfortunately b/f went over the iron detail on the wood (keyhole, hinges etc) and it has brought them up shiny, the trunk/chest now looks lovely all sanded but unfortunately looks too new as the iron work has come up shiny, I want to age the metal work again but have no idea how, any ideas anyone???

Turkey is looking to join the EU, and yet it STILL refuses to acknowledge the genocide inflicted upon the Armenians, Assyrians and Pontic Greeks during and after WW1, where over 1 million Armenians died and the Assyrians lost two thirds of their entire population. Some Circassians and Georgians were also killed.

Turkish writers and commentators who mention the genocide are often arrested, prosecuted and jailed for doing so.

Should Turkey be pressured more on this issue, should it be taught in schools, along with the Holocaust, should Turkey be barred from the EU because of it?

NB; Its a fact of history that it did happen, the wounds are still there for the 3 races concerned, mainly because turkey wont admit it!

Also, the Germans, and even the Japanese to a certain degree admit the atrocities their nations committed, why cant the Turks?

When I was a kid it was always goose and I still think that was the best. (We also used to bottle the goose grease - saim gwydd we used to call it - for medicinal use) Nowadays it always seems to be turkey or sometimes chicken with ham accompaniment. What is your favourite 'Christmas bird'?

A man checked into a hotel in Australia. There was a computer in his
room,so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However, he accidentally
typed the wrong e-mail address, and without realizing his error, he sent
the e-mail.

Meanwhile.....somewhere in Houston , a widow had just returned home from
her husband's funeral. The widow decided to check her e-mail, expecting
messages from relatives and friends.

After reading the first message, she fainted. The widow's son rushed
into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen
which read:

To : My Loving Wife
Subject : I've Arrived
Date: May 27 2006

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now,
and you are allowed to send e-mails to your loved ones. I've just arrived
and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your
arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is
as uneventful as mine was.

P.s It is damn hot down here !!

Political confusion will cost billions of human lives when it happens. It is the war in the back of out heads that we know is going to happen. Political failures will be the blame but it can never be enough to pay for the death it brings upon our table.
This war destroys the chemistry of the world as we know it.
The war will be called many names. We all know it in the back of our minds and many nations will fight in this new war. Every Economy in the world will be reduced to 1/3 of it's current power state. Do you think we are in that wake before the wave?

Can someone give me an outline of the molecular mechanisms behind why DNA Acetylation, Methylation, Phosphorylation and general structure (i.e. nucleosomes etc) affect genetic expression/transcription etc? I get how these changes take place, but not how they affect phenotypes. Any accessible webpages would also be a massive help. Thanks everyone!

and not taking into account it may be more complicated than just changing your entire life in 5 minutes?

Mostly its cuz the Court don't care, but maybe if they cared more, then people would abide to the rulings better and not be tempted/forced to bend the rules in their attempts TO conform without throwing their entire lives into chaos to do it.
