When I was a kid it was always goose and I still think that was the best. (We also used to bottle the goose grease - saim gwydd we used to call it - for medicinal use) Nowadays it always seems to be turkey or sometimes chicken with ham accompaniment. What is your favourite 'Christmas bird'?

goose or duck . mom is british and she loves both of those for christmas . good luck and god bless.

I made a goose. It was quite good, too. Actually, my favorite bird is Rock Cornish game hen. I've made that, too, since my mother once made them stuffed with wild rice. Everyone got their own bird. It was tres elegante!!!!

We always had a huge chicken called a Capon.... they had a much better flavour and were always very meaty.
Now adays like most, it's a Turkey.

i am a greedy person, though you cannot have them all on the dinner table, turkey, chicken duck goose, pheasent, grouse, and the humble pidgeon, and if your a little eater quail.
