My son is almost 6 months old. He has been exclusively on breast milk but he takes it from a bottle, as he wouldn't latch onto my nipple. I pump everyday, every 4 - 6 hours. I get up at 5am to pump every morning. Its ok, I am kind of used to it now but he is coming up to that age when solids should be introduced and I am wondering if I should start to pump less when that happens and if I should work towards just giving him a bottle of breast milk at night and one in the morning. I know that up until 6 months breast milk is all a child needs BUT I think my main question is, after they reach 6 months how much breast milk do they need?

I bought some fleece fabric to make a throw, I need to hem the edges and would llike to just use the seam binding tape that you iron in instead of sewing the seam in the edges. I want to know if you can iron fleece, will this work or do I have to sew it?

In all imagaic representations I have seen of our solar system, the planets are all essentially on the same line. (eg. http://www.ioncmaste.ca/homepage/resources/web_resources/CSA_Astro9/files/images/unit4/solar_system.jpg).
Is this true, or are orbits going all over the place? And if it is true, is this defined by the sun's 'north' and 'south' magnetic poles... how does the sun's magnetism affect the shape of our solar system? Are gravity fields linked to magnetic fields?

If the mom decided she didn't want the baby, didn't want the struggle of adoption would killing the baby be ok? The baby can't survive on its own and no baby should be unwanted.

What about a premie that can't breath on its own? Should a mom that doesn't want it be allowed to kill it if it has every possiblility of living a long life? What do you think the difference between a premie on life support and a "fetus" is?

I got a new boyfreind about a week ago. His name is Mitch. He's about 6"1, has the most gorgeous blue eyes, light brown hair, he's on the football team, and he's the nicest guy ever. I really like him, and he really likes me, but he's still friends with the girlfriend he had before me. I'm ok with that, but she always tries to flirt with him. My son is almost 6 months old and we decided to start feeding him solid foods (well mashed up and pureed foods). We are starting him off feeding him solids once a day, and after trying a new food we won't have him try another one for 3 days and just feed him regular baby cereal (the doctor said this was best for allergy reasons). He eats the food really well and barely spits any out, so he seems ready to eat.

I know that some foods cannot be given to babies for fear of a higher risk of allergies, so which foods can I give and cannot give my son? I read some things about giving your baby tofu and yougurt which seems a little too young for me.

And also, if the food is already really soft (like bananas, apples, and other fruits..) do I have to cook or steam them before I give it to them?

My husband broke the 4th metacarpal in BOTH hands, he is in a cast for 1 week, it is not a clean break... if it isnt fusing together then the doc wants to put pins in for another 4 weeks, does anyone know about this surgery? or how long this will take to heal? or how much the surgery costs without insurance?

I've had cold sores before, at least a few times in the past years, maybe around 3-5 times.. I have never been sexually active in any way, I am 18 by the way.
I hate how I get that look from some people. I hate having cold sores, does it mean that I will have herpes/ genital herpes in the future?
