My husband broke the 4th metacarpal in BOTH hands, he is in a cast for 1 week, it is not a clean break... if it isnt fusing together then the doc wants to put pins in for another 4 weeks, does anyone know about this surgery? or how long this will take to heal? or how much the surgery costs without insurance?

I don't know about the cost, but it will take 6-7 weeks to heal. And, he will need to do some physical therapy to regain the use.
