I bought some fleece fabric to make a throw, I need to hem the edges and would llike to just use the seam binding tape that you iron in instead of sewing the seam in the edges. I want to know if you can iron fleece, will this work or do I have to sew it?

My question is why you want to hem the edges. Fleece doesn't fray. If you want a decorative edge, try pinking shears or cutting narrow strips into the edge to look like fringe.

You'll need to sew the seam binding on ... you can iron fleece, but because it's fleece it wouldn't 'stick' to the binding for very long as it got it's fleecy loft again. You may do the ironing so that the binding will stay while you are doing your sewing though ... I've done that, and it works beautifully.

sewing it might work best, but if you want to iron it, i would recomend using one of those covers that fit over the metal, or putting a towel that you can iron over it, so that the fleece does not directly touch the iron.

no don't do it. Try wetting it and pace it the way you want it to dry. Fleece will burn.
