They are just like him in his younger days. Could be good or bad lol. However given they got A-Rod back it seems they are a little more willing to listen than good old dad.

Let's see, the 5 major decisions they made:
1) They got rid of Joe Torre, a big mistake. Technically not true, but to offer someone a deal you know they will reject prior to even offering it to him, just so you can say we tried, is the same thing as getting rid of him.
2) Resigning A Rod after; A) they said they wouldn't if he opted out, and B) he is useless (and in post season less then useless) and now we are stuck with him for the next 10 years. Huge mistake.
3) Since they got rid of Torre, Girardi I feel was the best replacement.
4) Resigning Posada. Good decision.
5) Resigning Mariano. Good decision
But it's less than a month they have been running things, so time will tell. As long as they have the desire to win as much as their father had, than the Yankees will do fine, even if I don't agree with every decision they make.

I don't really know what to think of them. They certainly did not handle the Joe Torre situation correctly. If they didn't want him back, they should have just said so and not offer him a joke of a contract. However, I like how they have handled the A-Rod situation. They refused to negotiate with A-Rod and Boras after A-Rod opted out. However, after A-Rod came to the Yankees a few weeks later and said that he still wanted to be a Yankee, they were extremely smart in having a meeting with just A-Rod. I think that they'll be a lot like their dad: smart and clever guys who have the tragic flaw of being power-hungry and controlling.

They are just trying to hold on to the value of the team until dad dies, then they will sell the Yankees for a bundle. But their main objective is not to lose money, nor let the value of the franchise decrease.

We can form opinions of them once Rivera, Posada, and A-Rod are in their late 30s and sucking. They obviously are trying to do what their father did: sign free agents who are nearing the end of their prime to huge contracts.

I rather have younger, fresher minds handling the Empire. That's why Georgie and Torre stepped down, we need to get younger all-around.

They're both money hungry like their father. Sure, they have a good team with some promising players, but in my opinion, they care more about money than winning.
